I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone would want to get rid of them. They may be heavy and ugly but they are great reliable guns.

Well if you are a distance shooter, it will help you with your DOPE and make calculations for you. Since I am not a distance shooter and don't shoot for sub MOA accuracy most of the time, its worthless to me.

Negligent Discharges: My own personal confesion.
Capbyrd replied to Will Carry's topic in General Chat
I almost had an ND recently. I got really lucky. I'm still not sure why it happened like this. My Glenfield 12 guage pump action was waiting for some range time. So I took it down off the rack and was getting it ready to load in the bag and head out. I checked the tube and it was empty but I couldn't budge the action. I tried everything and couldn't get it to move. So I figured I would pull the trigger. It should reset everything and I'll be good. I DO NOT keep the shotgun loaded so nothing should have happened. So I pulled the trigger and I was right. Nothing happened. Pumped the action and a round flies out of the chamber. WTF?! Apparently, the firing pin DID NOT hit the primer cause there was no mark. I still don't know why it didnt. I have fired a lot more rounds through it including the one that was chambered and didn't have a problem. I just got really lucky. I found out that my brother in law grabbed the wrong gun one day and put mine back with a chambered round. He has since moved to FL so I don't have to worry about him effin with my guns again. -
On my dual 20 inch widescreens, it is definitely the longest autoloader i have ever seen.

Just not worth the money for me. But im cheap. The only paid app that I have is BulletFlight from KAC. I regret buying that.

Calling all TGO Hams (Amateur Radio Operators)...

Jeff, give me a call or shoot me a text to remind me. -
I currently carry a P89. I love this gun.

I don't have to resize the screen very often and rarely hit the wrong link. I guess I'm just cheap because 4 bucks is too much for me. If it were 99 cents then I might buy it.

I intend to. But its still ridiculous that my less than two year old phone NEEDS to be replaced. I don't understand Tapatalk. I can view forums just fine from Safari and it's free. Why would I want to pay for that?

Yes please!

Yep. It's that bad. I really wanted to like it.

Most certainly. I grew up around North. I still live in that area too. I know several officers over there and have been known to go up there to work out. I was bit bummed when I heard about the name changes.

Im using a 3G and I hate iOS4 right now. My phone is now incredibly slow and every app crashes regularly. Garbage.

That makes sense. But for the record, all of the precincts have been renamed. They don't use North, East, etc now. They are named for the road they are on.

Well Memphis Beat sucks. I wanted to like it but they just got so much stuff wrong. They could have taken the time to get the cop cars right. We don't have "wards" here either. Just so wrong. Really made me sad.

I think you misunderstand me. I am more out to be an educator. Honestly, I would love to teach a class on American government. My idea here is to be a grassroots candidate that gets out to the people in his district and informs them. Creating an awareness that wasn't there before. ONLY my district, which is pretty small really. If that changes people's perception of government, spreads and "changes the game," so be it but that is not my goal. I currently work in music distribution. I am well aware of the importance of proper marketing. I am also an Eagle Scout. My Eagle project was to make sure that every residence in the city of Millington had a smoke detector. I spent weekend after weekend organizing this and worked with the Millington Fire Department. Several troops helped out and the boys from those troops and myself knocked on doors and explained fire safety. If the home was not equipped with a smoke alarm, the MFD would come and install one of the alarms that I secured through donations. I am well connected in my community through past service projects and while not a celebrity or anything, I know lots of people. For a local position like this on the state level, I do believe that I could put in a decent showing. You might not know me in Nashvegas (where is that again?) but plenty of people in my neighborhood do know me.

Traveler's Insurance lies to the victims of accidents.
Capbyrd replied to Ebow1's topic in General Chat
I understand that some girl on the phone told you were going to get some money but... Traveler's isn't in the wrong here. Traveler's isn't going to pay for Domino's policy. Domino's is wrong for having that policy but you agreed to it at some point during your employment. I'm afraid that this is a situation where you aren't going to get what you want. -
Well I'm not sure how I feel about this. What Kelly said was incredibly insensitive but if he was genuine when he tried to apologize, then I don't feel sorry for Bill. Brad is still hanging around but they made me sick of listening to Bill complain about Kelly this episode. Kelly has been one of the strongest shooters so far.

Sorry bubba but from what I have seen, 450 looks about normal around here. I live on .26 acres and have 13 trees. I had 14 when I moved in but I cut one down myself. I have several more that I need removed and one that needs to be cleaned out badly. I have had a lot of people over to give me estimates and for the tree that needs cleaning, it was all similar to your estimate.

Ferarri hasn't made a good looking car since the 360. The 430 grew on me but I still like the 360 better. And there are a few of us still in the states that like to turn. That's why chevy built the unattainable zr1 -
Found this snakeskin by my front door ... any ideas what kind?
Capbyrd replied to jeffmem's topic in General Chat
GRANDPA! We had a boa in one of our science classes at Craigmont. One day, her food got loose. My buddy Dustin went to get the mouse back. Well the mouse bit Dustin and he had to go get a tetanus shot. While he was gone, we drew a picture of him on the board and gave him rat attributes. He was nicknamed Rat-Boy after that and it stuck for quite a while. A few months after that, the boa and iguana were both out of their cages at the same time. They got near each other and started a small brawl. If it hadn't been broken up quickly by the teacher, the iguana would have easily killed the boa. -
I agree with everything you said except the quoted part. If I see a cop trying to arrest someone, I will NOT get involved. I may watch from the sideline but unless the baddie pulls a gun or something, I am not involved. And I would imagine that cops probably want it that way. I don't think they want a civilian stepping in.

I've never been bit by anything dangerous. But a coworker was. I mentioned in another thread that I worked a couple of summers at BSA Camp Kia Kima outside Hardy Arkansas. The camp straddles the Spring River. One side is called Osage and the other Cherokee. I worked on the Osage side but was hanging out with a friend on the Cherokee side. One of our coworkers was heading to the shower. Well the path to the shower building is gravel. He decided to make the hike barefoot. About halfway down the path, we hear a yelp and rush out to find him laying on the ground and his foot was already swelling. He was bit by a copperhead. We were able to catch the snake as well. The snake became a trophy/warning for the staff campsite on that side. The guy that got bit had a horrible reaction to it and couldn't walk for quite a while. New rules were setup. It was a rule that you had to wear boots on all trails after that. Kinda scary but made for a really cool story for him.
