  1.   Long way to go for suicide by cop. He was a known idiot. Was he made before he entered the security check point?
  2. Currently carry a S&W model 38, prior to that it was a S&W model 36-2. Two Bianchi speed strips in my pocket. My brother has tried to convince me to convert to the Glock model 26. Actually is smaller than my current carry, but I just don't care for Glocks. Guess I'm just old school. Capacity is not a concern.
  3. Not as many listings per page, but with more ads. Don't care for it.
  4. Of the 4 different walmarts in the boro, 3 have not had the metal ammo cans since I started looking. Nor the Antich walmart.
  5. They were all gone on Wednesday. Went online and ordered 3. Same price and free shipping. Shipped from Mount Juliet. Should be on the door step when I get home tonight.
  6. I've seen more 22 ammo on the shelf in the last 3 days, than in the last couple of years. I'd stopping doing the Wally world swing bys to see if they had any 22, because I'm set for LR.   Passed on 10 boxes worth of Winchester 222 count boxes at the Walmart on Old Fort in Murfreesboro on Sunday.   Did buy 3 boxes of 100 round CCI shorts at the Antioch Walmart. This is the first shorts I've seen on the shelves in years. At least 10 more boxes left. Just now noticed they are CB. These things are a blast to shoot. Probably why no one else has picked them up. Won't cycle in most rifles, but fun to shoot with the lever gun or bolt action. Quiet as a air rifle.
  7. We have camera's installed as well as signs warning that we have cameras at our business in South Nashville.   Neither stopped a thief from stealing a trailer and metal from our yard, nor did it help identify a suspect for the police. Camera clearly shows the vehicle, but not enough detail for the license plate number.   But, only one theft in the last couple of years, so maybe the signs are somewhat of a deterrent if the bad guys can read?
  8. Not sure mine is a model 250. The google images look the same. Mine is from the early 70's. Holds about 22 shorts or 18 LR. Great little rifle for plinking. Plenty accurate enough for me. Kids love shooting it.
  9. I'll link an event from last week here in Nashville that shows the importance of notifying the police in this type of situation. Man officer threatened to shoot in face still rattled   and why is it that all the bed wetters think everything is a AK47?
  10. How do you forget your carry gun?
  11. New gun and pawn shop off church street has pistols on the wall to fondle, nice follks. New stuff as well, seems like one display case of pistols aimed at the female market. Place is well off the road, the had one of those sign spinners pointing towards the road.
  12. That was great. Suprised by the responses, but I guess I shouldn't be. The same reason I don't let anyone know I carry. Same reason we don't talk religon or politics with the guys. Someone's feelings always get hurt/someone tries to shout down someone else/someone is wrong/but no one is right.

  14. Temporarily misplace. I'm the one who usually finds someones elses lost knife. Usually when I'm fishing. Last lost knife was claimed by the ocean when I thought I'd slipped it into my short pocket, but instead it dropped right onto the pier and bounced into the water. For that reason I know use a lanyard on my bait cutting knife when fishing. Try to keep the EDC in my pocket.
  15. [quote name="cjohnson44546" post="1186500" timestamp="1409896031"]Neither are posted... neither prohibit guns.  They just publicly said that they'd prefer people not bring guns... just to get the MDA to shut up and go away.[/quote Exactly. All were targeted by "moms" to scare/intimidate the sheeple. Disgusting.
  16. Saw the full page ad in today's Tennessean. Selective pasting on my part.   The moms are taking the gun control fight to Kroger's backyard. On Thursday, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, a gun control group backed by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's considerable financial resources, will blanket half a dozen newspapers with ads meant to pressure the grocery giant to stop allowing customers to openly carry firearms in its stores. The ads will be displayed on the newspapers' websites as well as on a billboard in Cincinnati, where Kroger's corporate headquarters is based, according to the group. The ads will contrast images of shoppers doing things that are currently prohibited in Kroger's stores -- such as eating ice cream and shopping while shirtless -- with images of people carrying rifles. "Guess which one" isn't allowed at Kroger, the tag line says. (Scroll down for full images of the group's ads.)   Other companies previously targeted by Moms Demand Action initially made similar statements, before reversing course and requesting that gun owners not bring weapons inside their stores or restaurants. Chipotle, Sonic, Target and Starbucks have all changed their policies in response to the group's demands.   Edit to delete link to the "moms" website.
  17. and this is why I have no interest in visiting any of "those" states up north.
  18. thanks for that one.   Had to go dig out my cds. Can't find the "Division Bell", one of my copies of "Dark Side of the Moon" is gone (2 boys, 26 and 13), put "Wish you were here" and the "Delicate sound of thunder" in the CD player in the car.   Amazing the sound in the car, nowadays. You know your old when you've had copies in 8 track, cassette, LP and CD.
  19. PSA from the Better Business Bureau   Carrying Concealed Weapons Association - BBB Rating: F (615) 869-8345– PO Box 11543, Murfreesboro, TN 37129   The Right to Bear Arms is one of our constitutional rights that many gun owners take to heart, and with owning a gun comes much responsibility.  Carrying Concealed Weapons Association offers services that could assist with knowing your rights and obligations as a gun owner, such as handgun carry permit seminars and manuals, ID pouches, travel guides, wallets and more, but before jumping too quickly to order that wallet for your gun permit, BBB has a warning for you.      Carrying Concealed Weapons has developed a pattern of complaint alleging failure of the company to deliver products that were paid for in advance. When trying to reach the company to resolve complaints directly, consumers indicate the company was unreachable. Looks like the only thing this company is good at is concealing its customer’s money and products.
  20. Oops, been to two different post offices in the last few weeks, didn't see a posting and concealed carried and went about my business.
  21. Your Application Process is Complete Your Handgun Carry Permit Application has been approved. Please allow ten business days for delivery of your permit.   almost home, 7 days from fingerprints and DMV visit.
  22. No luck online. Did score 3 boxes of 225 count remington golden bullet 22lr yesterday morning at wallyworld. $11 per box.
