  2. HK has factory elevated sights. On my other cans and hosts, I do as Samson stated "adapt and learn to shoot "through" the suppressor"
  3. +1 on the SWR I run a gemtech blackside on a usp tactical with out a LID. Had a friend run it on his usp compact .45 with no probs. Only thing about going short and light is you need to run an ablatitive. ie...ultra sound/wire pulling gel, certain oils, water or piss to get best suppression. Gemtech Blackside is a "wet can" Ultra sound gel gives you about a 8 = 10 rnds of great suppression then slowly gets louder until about 15 rnds. The blackside is about 2 inches shorter than the osprey, providing you get the model without the LID. FYI: Suposedly runs well on 1911's, no personal experience though with the 1911.
  4. I suppose a night stand would hold a super 1050?
  5. No need to change barrels if it is uses traditional rifling. Glocks and HK's use polygonal rifling and can cause some problems if incorrectly sized bullets (lead) are used or not properly cleaned if leading does occour.
  6. Stamp collecting is an addicting hobby, good luck with the "just one" plan. Multiple stamps later, I wish i would have gone the trust route. Mostly in case I get whacked by a bus or something not forseen. Save the famliy some head aches.
  7. Got a winner!!! 4000 pieces 223 less than 1 hour. very short vid. http://s1166.photobu...zps1a60caa0.mp4
  8. +1 I think I bought stuff from him that I don't even load for.
  9. Just a couple couple hundred. There is actually a 5th tumbler under them on the ground by the orange steel plates. (good eye) Another reason why people should be cautious of they post.
  10. May look into rubber spray coating, after I get caught up on my tumbling. I will probably dump it back on craigs list or here on TGO. Iam guessing there will be more intrest in it as a cement mixer than a brass tumbler.
  11. Got it for $80 off craigslist, never had concrete in it. The guy used it for mixing manure and compose. It's made by central machine, which I wasn't enthused about. Hopefully it will hold up to turning brass. If motor craps out I will get a gas motor.
  12. Got a good deal on a new brass tumbler today. Going to replace metal paddles with plastic or wood. David gave me the idea at the last gunshow. Hoping to do 4-5000 at a time. I've got about 90 lbs of media. May try to rig something up with stainless media also. Will keep ya posted.
  13. HK is so reliable you can put the bullets in backwards and it will still work. Can't wait till mine is old enough to load mags
  14. I have gotten a couple from tactical machine in Deland, Fl. http://www.tacticalmachining.com/80-products/80-receivers/80-ar-15-lower-receiver.html Check their forums...they have instructions. Well built, I got their jig also. Used a bridgeport and took me a couple hours to do my first one. I'm not a machinist and was extra carefull. You can bulid your own with out putting made in TN. I think feds say you can build one or two a year legally and never for resale. I did mine to SBR on a Form 1, so it's registered anyway.
  15. Suppressor Form 1 Individual (not a trust) 6 months 14 days with no problems, sent cashiers check. Came in Saturday.
  16. Money saved is buying bulk components and/or making your own. Once you start shooting 500 - 1000 rnds a month per flavor, time becomes the big issue. What is it worth to you? When I started about 10 yrs ago I had alot more time than money. Only difference now is I have less time...that's where Dillon Precision and David here on the boards helped me out. More shooting, great cost, less time reloading.
  17. Bought my first progressive 7 yrs ago, A dillon 550 and equipment, paid for itself after first 3 wks. Almost got frozen shoulder . It won't take long before you start looking harder at the 650 and 1050. Enjoy.
  18. Been trying to locate some local examineers to take my test. Formerly N7WIN, was a tech plus back in 90's, had code. Let license lapse, still have some UHF / VHF HTs sold all my HF gear. Time to get the books out.
  19. I would bet that if someone were to research? The perp (a grad student) was probably getting Fed student loans / grants. Most of those have allotments for living expenses, purchases therefore were probably goverment funded. Just a twist
