I thought it looked pretty good.

Where you come across the animal would be a big deciding factor. Are you out the in the country? Or in the suburbs? Is anyone else around?

4yr old Tortured for wetting his pants - Words escape me.
Jasongar8 replied to Smith's topic in General Chat
A needle or an electric chair is too good for this piece of . He should be put on a town square and be "systematically beat" like he did that innocent child. This type of person is scum of the earth. -
Finished this one today. It's a Double Star lower with all Double Star/J&T Distributing parts. The upper and rails are also Double Star/J&T. The stock is a Magpul CTR. The grip is a Magpul MIAD. The rear sight is off an HK416, it is a 4 position diopter type sight. The front is a Troy Industries flip up. The only other thing I really want to add is either a EOTech or a Aimpoint red dot sight. I think it turned out pretty good.

I went this morning. I got there just after 9, and there was less people there than I have ever seen at a Goodman show. There seemed to be alot of individuals trying to sell AR's. I saw two guys that were carrying two rifles each. I had to pick somthing up from J&T so I got what I went for. But other than that, there wasnt much that intrested me.

EXTREMELY disappointing encounter with someone with a badge
Jasongar8 replied to a topic in General Chat
If there isnt a car, truck, or motorcycle parked in it then I consider it empty. I'm not saying that he was right by flashing his badge. But the whole spot saving thing, at a theater, a sports game, a parking lot, or otherwise has always got on my nerves. -
People that pull out in front of me and then do 30 mph. That ride in the fast lane on the interstate doing 60mph and wont get over. These two piss me off worse than most anything.

I have always thought those balck stainless guns were awesome looking. Nice find.

One of my buddies just bought one of those angled foregrips. I didnt think I would like it, but it is really comfortable.

I think that is Chris Costa in the first pic. I believe him and the Magpul guys are the ones who first started teaching the "far foward" grip.

I have never heard of any branch of the military using a 7.5" M4/M16 type rifle over there. Any more info on this?

From the info I got from the books "The M1 Garand:WWII" and "The M1 Garand Serial Numbers and Data Sheets". The 1,607,664 was made May 1943. And the 1,648,172 was made June of 1943. The good thing about Garands is that just about everything on them is marked with the manufacturer. If the part was made by Springfield it will be marked SA, Winchester is WRA, International Harvester is IH, and Harrington Richardson is marked HRA. You can look on the bolt, the op. rod, the trigger group, and the barrel and check to see if they match (now days most dont totally match and if they do they bring premium money, all matching guns are called correct grade). The barrel should be marked with a number after the letter code, this number is the year the barrel was made. An example would be SA53, which is a Springfield barrel made in 1953. The Garand is a great weapon. I have war era Springfield and a post war HRA. Everytime I hold them I feel like I am holding a piece of history. Sorry for being so long winded but I love my Garands and like to talk about them. Congrats on the good deal. Now buy as much ammo as you can afford for them.

The looks on the police officers faces are priceless.

I havent caught the 6.8 bug. Maybe if I was shooting at bad guys and had to use ball ammo. It is still more expensive to reload 6.8 than 5.56. For me, 5.56 works very well for me to punch holes in paper.

One of the better ones I have heard in awhile.

Another beer would probably be good.

Please Educate me on Post Sample

Answer number 8 is the only one that sounds like he knows what he is talking about. Other than that, the link is full of mis-information. The bottom line is you can't become a dealer for the sole purpose of buying post sample machine guns. -

Only if you are becoming a dealer to actually operate a ligit business. You cannot become a dealer just to buy cheap post sample machine guns. -
Water because I can use it to make other things. Plus I already drink more water than anything else.

We just got back to the hotel. Spent the entire day shopping at the gunshow. There is a ton of 7.62x39 ammo for sale. And more bulk/surplus .308 than I have seen in a long time. The 7.62x39 and 5.56 is running just over $200 per 1k (steel cased). The AR craze has def. slowed down. There is good deals to be found on AR mags though. I found Magpul mags for $11, used military mags for $5, used Colt mags for $10 and new ones for $15. There are more .22 conversions and .22 MG's on the line than I have ever seen. Just about everyone has a .22 conversion in their M16/M4. People are still buring through belt feds like there is no tommrow though. Lots of MG42's and 1919a4's. With the majority of 1919's converted to 8mm. There are two M134 Mini Guns on the far right of the main line. And one of the owners must have a unlimited supply of .308 because he is it really letting it run. There was a real bad wreck on Dixie Highway this morning that backed up traffic for miles. We beat it in but alot of people we talked to said it was pretty bad wreck and that they had to life flight some of the people involved. So any TGO'ers that might be comming up on Saturday, slow down and be careful. We will be back at the range bright and early in the morning. I have one part that I am still looking for so hopefully I can find one in the morning.

I got up here and went to the range. The parking lots are kinda muddy but nowhere near as bad as last fall. With the pretty weather we should get tommrow they should be dried out for the weekend crowd. If any of you guys want to meet up we are set up in the upper right parking lot in a white trailer that has a big HK sticker on the side. We will be cooking all weekend and yall are more than welcome to come eat with us. We will be cooking plenty. Hope to see some fellow TGO'ers here.
