MCTS will be hosting a Defensive Carbine & Action Pistol match this Saturday at our Dickson range. I have 6 fun and challenging stages planned at a minimum of 115 rounds. Setup starts at 7:00 am with Shooters meeting at 8:45. Rounds down range at 9:00 am. Hope to see you there.

My suggestion would be to go out to some of the matches in our area to get a feel for it. Doing it is the only real way to know what you like and want. There are lots of good groups and matches around Nashville. We shoot every weekend in Dickson and indoors in Franklin Tuesday nights.

Sure. Everyone will shoot the entire match. The Classifier stages are standards so everyone will shoot the same. The three scenario stages can be shot DCAPS if you want or IDPA if you want and are a member.

MCTS will be hosting an IDPA Classifier plus match this Saturday November 5th at our Dickson facility. We will have the Classifier plus three scenario stages. Total round count approximately 130. This will cover you for the entire 2017 shooting season. This may also be your last chance to get classified before the 1 second per point rule takes affect for IDPA. Non IDPA members will shoot under DCAPS rules. See you Saturday.

The most fun I've had on the range in quite some time.

Lots of good advice. Go to a match and bring what you have. All the clubs will work with you your first time out. It will give you the chance to see what others are doing. It's not as complicated as it seems. Just go, be safe, have fun and learn.

Really fun match today. Damn tough but fun. Thanks to everyone who came out to shoot and help set up. Got lucky the rain mostly stayed away.

Music City Tactical Shooters will be hosting a Defensive Pistol match this Saturday 8/20/16 at our outdoor facilities in Dickson (across the road from 990 Coon Creek Road, Dickson, TN). We should have 5-6 stages for the match. Setup begins at 7am, shooters meeting at 8:45, hopefully rounds downrange at 9:00am. We will have some great and challenging stages planned.
