  1. SB1736 goes into effect tomorrow. it states that if a business or entity posts their property making it a gun free zone, they have custodial requirements for your safety if you have a permit. If my employee handbook states " No weapon allowed on property" even though they took down their signs, does this mean their handbook is still valid? The bill just references posting signage and not about policy. Anybody?
  2. Considering you are twenty two, I must commend you on an outstanding job of being observant, well informed and have the ability to think rationally. It gives me a great deal of hope that there are some young folks out there that could make good leaders if and when I reach a ripe old age. Hats off to you buddy..............
  3. How about some round stickers to go beside my NRA sticker?????? Dave, you can go to The WORX Group right there in Murfreesboro and get anything you want, caps, shirts, koozies just about anything with a logo. They have a website.
  4. Savage .410 single shot from Western Auto. I was 12 years old and bought it with money I made cutting tobacco for my uncle.
  5. Crossbreed Supertuck. It takes a few days of oiling, conditioning and wearing. This is the only holster that finally made me switch from cross-carry to strong side for concealment. I must warn you it is very stiff when brand new and after a few days it softens up and wears like a pair of gloves. So comfortable I have been almost inside at work and realized I was still packin.
  6. 1911 sub-compact with a Crossbreed Supertuck. With the right postion and cant adjustment I can conceal mine easily with a t-shirt. At times you won't even know your packin. And thats sitting, standing walking etc.
  7. That's funny because I was wondering the same thing.
  8. Just to elaborate on my intentions for my original post, I was not trying to undermine Rangemasters as a business. In fact living some distance away I researched the area via internet and she went there based on my initial suggestion. She really liked the fact there were womens only classes and female instructors as well. With that said I think it was the one individual that gave her a bad impression. It was not the Bersa ban alone, it was the persons attitude. My original intention was to shed light on why someone would ban a particular brand of gun that gets such rave reviews. They are all over the net and performed by very professional and qualified folks. I respect Mr. Given's explanation for his decision although I and many others do not agree. Rangemaster is a privately owned business and I respect their right to make any decision they want concerning how they run it. That is why we are all here, we are Freedom Loving Americans. In fact I did buy this Bersa from the great folks in Greenbriar and it was my second indentical purchase in a year there. If I am not mistaken the gentleman at the counter was ex-THP and a super guy. He was full of information and treated us with the utmost respect. If I recall correctly, ( I may be mistaken) he in fact commented on cc'ing the same weapon on occasion. I had actually stopped in two other places in my county that morning and guess what, both owners were carrying OWB Bersas. To each his own, I have put 1000 rounds through the 9mm that I carry every day without a single glitch and when I wear it out I'll probably drive back up to Greenbriar and buy another one just like it.
  9. I have worked in Engineering/Machining/Tooling all my life and believe me I have seen mechanical failure. I do and can, recognize and or test for design and quality issues of all types. I have been over all three of my own Bersas as well as hers with a fine tooth comb. ( yep I broke out the mic's and calipers for starters). The day we bought this we did a thorough cleaning and put 300 rounds down the tube. Why???, To insure my daughter did not leave here with a quality issue to deal with. Every company has quality issues. That is why they all carry liability insurance and have warranty programs. Heck with that type of narrow minded thought process, we would not have any pharmaceuticals to purchase, no cars to drive, etc. I think based on that mode of thinking we should ban anyone from taking a drivers license test in a Toyota , They have had recalls you know......... With that being said and now my laundry has been aired, We'll put this one to rest with no particular hard feelings. I am sure they have a great business and can do without one more HCP participant. After all, how fair would it be to form an opinion about this range for one malfunction.
  10. Well I don't want to bash the Business as it may have been the rude individual she spoke with and not the establishment, however, I advised her to take her money elsewhere, or as Steelharp also advised, come home on a weekend and take it here.
  11. My daughter just turned 25 and I bought her a new Bersa 9 UC for her birthday. She has taken to the range like a duck in water, shooting grapefruit sized groups at 15 yards. She loves the new gun. I and my wife own three Bersa's and have put thousands of rounds collectively through them without a hitch. So the daughter has been shooting and studying for the HCP test. She lives in Memphis and looking for a range there. Today she and her husband go down to Rangemasters to fire a hundred rounds and talk to them about an HCP class for her. I will quote her, " The guy was an overall arrogant jerk" ( whomever "the guy" was)and "he told me there was no way I could use a Bersa for my range test because some other girl had used one and it failed or malfunctioned during her test". They don't allow Bersa's in their classes. What's up with that??? Bersa's are not Kimber's or Colt's, I understand that, however, I read great reviews on them for going bang for a long time, all over the net and in every gun shop I visit.
  12. What was your delivery time? Was curious cause I have one on order.
  13. I'll be packin Bersa Thunder Pro UC 9. Best $350 I have ever spent. Flawless operation and its a naildriver. My daughter liked it so much I bought her one for carry. She loves it. I call her Annie Oakley. Ha
  14. I finally broke down and ordered the Supertuck today. I hope it is all the rave I have heard from folks on here. Thanks for the reviews from everyone. I'll post a follow up in a few weeks when it comes in.
  15. I just watched Channel 4 at 6 and they said it would go into effect July 1st. I was shocked as I thought it would be effective this week. Who can get us a real answer on this??
