Even the title of the article is biased. "In open carry America" makes it seem like this is a normal occurrence among the gun community. That guy clearly has some sort of mental instability and likely needs some help.

If you take a look at the RFP that the FBI released you will see that the gen 2's do not meet the criteria that the FBI was looking for. I like gen2 Glocks and I agree that the dual recoil spring is a mistake but I honestly prefer my gen 4 17 and 21 over my other Glocks. The gen 4's excel with the better texture and smaller more ergonomic grips.

I've had the same issue but it's only every so often. Thanks for letting us know what go you found.

Honestly, it would be really, really hard to live on $35K... I'm happy where I'm at. I don't "love" my job but I make a good living and I enjoy my job enough most days that it's worth it. Now, there have definitely been points in my career where I was miserable and willing to take a pay cut to find something else. Thankfully those days have passed. I definitely get what you're saying. My boss works 60+ hours a week and literally has no life outside work. She is a completely miserable person most days. She admitted she loves money which is why she puts in the long hours in search of that next promotion. I have a few friends that truly subscribe to this theory. One of my good friends is like a gypsy. He is in another country or state constantly. Hell, he's lived all over the US in the 10 years since we graduated H.S together. In some ways I'm jealous of him but then we will try to go out for drinks and he never has money. Being happy is important but I also couldn't go through life being constantly broke.

My buddy bought one off eBay 10 years ago and didn't have many issues out of it. He only kept it a year or so though.

What exactly were you expecting to see? The infamous Glock carbine perhaps?

Glock hasn't done anything earth shaking since the mid 80's but some of these changes are nice to see. I'd like to get my hands on just to see what a gen 4 frame feels like without those damn finger grooves. We'll probably have to wait for shot show.

It appears most of the rumors are true. Glock has released a new version of the 17 in order to win the FBI trials. As someone that's a huge Glock fan I have to say that I haven't been overly excited by them in quite some time but this new one has some neat features. I have a few no-name kydex mag holstes I bought online. They slide over the belt and I don't have any issue concealing them. There is a member on Glocktalk that sells them for very little.

At what temp and for how long did you bake it?

I don't want to hijack the thread but I'm really curious about this. Do you think it's ok to apply this over a little rust? I have a 870 police magnum with a pretty rough finish. I was going to send it off for cerakote but this looks like a cheaper alternative.
