  1. Hopefully with your certifications you will be able to find something quickly. Good luck.
  2. I am really thinking about getting into reloading as well, but not sure as to what all I need and how long should it take to recover the cost of all the equipment.
  3. Any top self Tequila with fresh lime juice. If I had to choose just one it would probably be Maestro Anejo although Patron Anjeo is not that bad.
  4. a 1972 Datsun 1200 (1.1 liter engine) that I bought in 1977 as a freshman in college. No A/C living in Louisiana. Wish I still had that car.
  5. Our prayers are with her and her family.
  6. I would love to go today. Beautiful weather. Have to attend a function at my daughters school.
  7. Based on my research, since the 9mm round does not have the necessary rim to be held correctly inside a revolver it has to held in with a clip. You can check this site The Next Chapter: Smith & Wesson Model 940 9mm Revolver
  8. Thanks for the advice PackinMama. I looked into the 9mm revolvers but I don't think it will work because she would need to pre-load the rounds into the clips and that seems that it would be difficult with her disability. I am really leaning towards a Taurus 851 for her. I thought about the 651 but I think the lighter 851 would be better for her. I will let you know how it turns out. My daughter is all on board for this, but my wife is a little apprehensive. I just can't get her to the range. Both of my daughters enjoy going.
  9. Ladies, I am sorry to hijack your thread. I have 2 daughters, my oldest is 17 disabled and plans on going to college next year. Her disability includes a left side weakness, which renders her left hand virtually non-usable. She also has optic nerve damage and she is unable to close one eye when aiming. In the past she has really only enjoyed shooting my 22 rifle which I would prop up on a table. Yesterday I took her to a local range, just her and I (usally take both), and work with her using a rental snubbie 38. After a few rounds of being very timid, almost to the point of tears, she started getting the hang of it and started to enjoy shooting the 38. She can only use her right hand when shooting. I was constantly encouraging her and telling her how proud I was of her. She shot about 40 rounds. She got 4 or her last 5 rounds within the 8 circle at 7 yards. I also worked with her on opening the cylinder, loading and closing. She was able to do it all. Because of her disability she can not load an automatic magazine nor operate the slide, so an automatic is not an option. My question to you all is 2 fold. Do you think that I should stick with a 38 for her or look at a 32? Also any recommendations on 32's or 38's? Thanks for your time and advice.
  10. Das Boot, the original uncut german version, I think it is on 3 DVD's. Also Father Goose is a good one.
  11. hellava game. WHO DAT.... The Saints have marched in...
  12. I am originally from Louisiana and have been following the Saints since their inception. So of course I am for the Saints. I just hope they can pull it off.
  13. One of my all time favs as well. It was panned by the critics. I remember seeing it in the movie theater with my family.
  14. Or should I say Where are you from??
  15. I am relatively new to the site but would like to join in as well. We started a program at work back in September. The program ended in December. I started at 239 and ended at 208. I am now down to 199. My goal is 175. One of the things that I have found very useful is the following website, http://www.sparkpeople.com. I use the same handle on that site. It really helps to journal your intake as well as your exercise. It also helps to be accountable to someone else, so by posting weekly numbers here you are more likely to stick with it. I have cut out virtually all processed foods and gone to whole grains. I thought it would be difficult but it has been easier than I had anticipated. I am over 50, so I have had bad habits for many years and have always blamed in on "since kids". Now I want to be able to see grand kids, that will be a way down the line since my oldest is still in high school. All I can say is everyone great for trying and keep your goals within reach.
  16. Thanks. I've waited 43 years to see the Saints in the Super Bowl. Win or lose, I'm happy, will be happier with a win.
