  1. Nice. We got our first pot full the other day. Haven't cooked them yet though.
  2. I was glad we had a few heavy showers before the 4th so the nitwits didn't burn everything to the ground. I mowed yesterday and as I came around the house almost done with the trimming, the sky was black to the north. We got a frog stranger about 10 minutes after I finished.
  3. The kind your gun feeds most reliably and you hit the target with the fastest.
  4. She ordered some online, from Park Seed I think. She also got some seedlings from a local garden place.
  5. Go out in the rain and see how it's washing. Figure out how to redirect the water so it doesn't wash. Then fix the holes.
  6. My wife has gotten into medicinal plants in addition to the herbs we had before. We've slowly switched out our flower beds from decorative stuff to more useful stuff. Most herbs and spices are weeds, and they grow like it. We have dill, basil, lavender, sage, thime, oregano, chamomile, and a huge rosemary.
  7. Mom resorted to that stuff to keep the deer off her flowers (they live in the woods). It worked, but was a fair bit of effort.
  8. Pee around the perimeter of the garden. Or if your neighbors might object to that, visit the local barber and circle it with hair.
  9. Good, still best to call the insurance first. They'll send you their approved plumbers for an estimate. You can get your own estimates as well and decide if you want to file a claim or not.
  10. We've started getting zucchini, yellow squash, and cucumbers. Everything else is doing well.
  11. Best to call the insurance first then. They could refuse the claim saying whoever you called messed it up.
  12. I'd love to know the story behind this picture.
  13. Mom told a funny story last night I'd never heard before.... Her dad brought home a boiled ham, which was a rare treat for them. Mom said the same thing about how good it was and how anxious they were for ham sandwiches. Mom and her sisters always had friends around and the news of boiled ham ensured they were there. Apparently someone left a door open and not only did their friends come over, their friends' dogs did too. You can guess what happened. Mom said they'd gone to get drinks or something, turned around and the ham was gone. The first thing I thought of was.....
  14. Interesting to have both a camera and a gun.
  15. Far more guns are damaged or worn out by excessive cleaning than excessive shooting.
  16. One day ole Jed was shootin at some food....
  17. You might be shocked at the value of some stuff rolling down the highway. We routinely put tens of millions of $$ on a flat bed.
  18. Wow, that's a lot of bees!
  19. Hope you heal up quickly.
  20. You want to heat the surrounding area but not the pin. Heat the hole so it gets bigger and loosens up on the pin. If its cerakote, you should be able to get it really hot, upwards of 1000 deg F. More than enough to get the pin out. Put a little penetrating oil on it, let that soak for 30 mins, then heat it up until the oil starts smoking, then try to knock the pin out while it's hot. It may take a couple attempts. Since you've determined this isn't the correct pin, is it possible its tapered and will only come out 1 way?
  21. Depending on what it's coated with, heating the surrounding area will help loosen it up.
  22. I work in aviation so I understand the desire to use proven technology. But building more of the same obsolete thing because that's all you know how to do isn't the best course of action.
