  1. We can get up sooner than the summer if you want to hear mine. Rebels010 and I shoot together a lot. I have the SS .308 QD and run it on a Savage bolt gun. It makes everyone grin and chuckle when they hear it. Also run it on my AR, but haven't tried it with subsonic 556 ammo. Lets do some shootin'.
  2. If you have a bench vise, clamp the gas tube in the vise. Gently stike the back end of the upper receiver with a rubber mallet or like David stated with a block of wood and hammer. This worked for me. I had the same problem about a month ago.
  3. I talked to a guy at the Murfreesboro gun show who bought one at Reloaders Bench. He told me that it was 369, 405 out the door. He said it did not like the winchester ammo and he got some CCI maxi mags (recommended ammo) to run through it.
  4. I have a Savage 10 FCP HS Precision. It has the 24" bull barrel with 1/10 twist. I am not for sure on the rifling, but it is probably whatever is standard. I am running a YHM 7.62 QD. I am enjoying it right now, but I would like to see it with the subsonic loads. I will let you know if I need some help on the loads.
  5. Thanks for the info... I hear the EBR stuff is top notch. AC72, what kind of can are you running on the savage? I am gonna have to try out that load. Sounds like a winner.
  6. Just as the title says... Does anyone know where I can pick up some factory subsonic close to Nashville? If you don't know, I will take some recipes from you reloaders. Thanks, LS
  7. IBG, did you go with the 7.62 SS Phantom? I was able to take mine home last week. I love it. It was a little louder on the 5.56 than on the 7.62. Overall, I am happy with the can. Just wish the QD adapters had a smaller profile. Good luck on getting it processed quick...
  8. I went and picked up my stamp and my new can last night! Sent it the first of November and it was approved Dec 15th. The only reason I knew it was approved was by calling the NFA hotline and checking. Apparently my stamp had been sitting at the shop for 3 effing weeks without my knowledge. I guess I should have been that pestering customer that checks everyday. Who knew it would only take 6 weeks. Oh well, this weekend should be fun!

I usually carry my Sig P238 in the summer and a 1911 in the winter.
  10. Any idea how long it takes to get to pending status once the ATF receives the paperwork? Just send mine off today. And the wait begins....
  11. If it was out of the 100 round value pack, I have experienced this as well. Just try it with differnet kinds of ammo. BTW, you have a very nice weapon. I am in the market for a nice 9mm 1911. If you don't mind, PM me and give me an idea of what I could expect to pay. Thanks.
  12. IMHO, I think you should go with a Leupold Mark 4 4.5-14x40 with the mil dot reticle. It will give you that little bit extra that the 3-9x40 can't.
  13. Please tell me more. I have a P238 that is my EDC. Would like some different options.
  14. I handled the one at the Goodman Show as well. I was fairly impressed. The one negative I found is the one mag. Does anyone know much additional mags are?
