More of the media misinformation.  Seems to me when I was growing up the 223 was NOT legal for deer hunting in TN . Too small but I know better bullet design and so on have got it to the point it is now legal . Put it next to a 30 06 or 300 Win mag and then call it "high powwered"  .    I thought the original thoughts of the veterens was that it was "underpowered" . I thought that was one of the main arguments when the army was first adopting the M 16 . Can we play back some of those arguments for the media .    The media and their misinformation is one of our worst enemies .  

Proves that the gun is not the evil thing they make it out to be . It all lies in the hands of the one who pulls the trigger .   I remember a few moths back , a Georgia officer got in trouble for pawning his police department , issued AR . I don't remember the County or if it was a City officer . Seems like it was in North Georgia.

Saiga 308 in stock form looks more like a hunting rifle or converted if you are not against the AK platform . I would say plenty accurate enough for hunting . I also agree about the Mini 30 and ammo . I never had a problem with the mini 30 or mini 14 I had . That is two of the ones I sold that I wish I still had . But , you know , raising kids and I needed the money.

  When you have people depending on the Government for their survival , then the Government can very easily control what they do. I see it that there is not much to look forward to. Most jobs are pretty nuch dead end now days . Most companies are getting harder to work for and care less about their workers. Benefits go down every year and so on . I voluntarily stepped down several times as I got to the point I didn't feel I was able to do the job correctly. Some thought I was crazy for doing it  ,but I felt that if I was not able to do the job properly anymore , it was the right thing to do . Most of the good jobs and companies that care about their workers are gone. With the true unemployment numbers , not the bull they tell us , the company has plenty to chose from for your replacement.    I think these kids are pampered all through school and don't have any idea what it is going to be like as an adult. They are given a fairy tale about how great it will be when they get their degree instead of telling them chances are slim you will find a job in what you went to school for . Last number  I remember was something like 80% of college grads end up moving in with relatives because they can't find a job. It is a hard cruel world out there and they are not prepared for reality .    How can you look around and not be depressed to some degree. How much longer can the country go down the road it is on before we go off a cliff. All the meds they are giving out just mask the ability to see what is happening around you in true form . Forget to take the meds or have a day were you have a little comman sense kick in and they can't handle the reality of life. Of coarse this is just my opinion and again it doesn't mean much .    I believe the medications and drugs they are dishing out like candy is playing a bigger role than we will ever get them to admit to . Wonder how many dollars the drug companies spend on congress lobbyist ? The NRA is our largest voice and I bet the drug companies have a louder voice.    As I am typing this I am having some heartburn from the arthritis meds , so I must go take another medication , you know , the one they give you for the side effects of the other one. Have you ever read the side effects sheets that come with your presciptions? I tried to go off mine and I just can't move without them. I am stuck in the cycle of the doctors and pills to be able to walk . I have to accept the cards I have been dealt and make the best of it. Do I need a pill to make me think everything is perfect when it isn't? Nope lets look at it with open eyes and deal with it now ! Being an adult means at some time you will be depressed !! It is a natural feeling and you must learn to deal with it in a healthy manner .    A real study needs to be done on the medication angle of the shooting , but I am sort of afraid it will be like the tobacco industry . They have so much money behind them cover their tracks that it will probably take another big time whistleblower.

I just watched the video of officers pulling a " long gun " from the trunk of the black vehicle and clearing the chamber .    The video is titled   Police Find Long Gun in Trunk Of Car In Sandy Hook Parking Lot : Newtown Connecticut School Shooting   About 1:22 long and it is NBC news but they now say 2 handguns . Also notice that it is dark outside , That seems strange to me .  I don't know how to post the link here .    I am again Not saying   It did not happen !! The Government Did or didn't do it or did or didn't know it was going to happen !! That we are questioning if the parent lost a child or not .   I am saying that the Facts don't add up to me!!! Period !!! Something is not right, if nothing other than someone is altering the facts to fit their needed agenda. Yes it is a terrible event but it needs to be reported with true facts . We need to know what is really going on not what some one ( not sure who ) wants us to believe .

TMF   As for 9-11     Doesn't matter to me who is president , the questions would be the same . How did the passport get to the gound , out of the plane ,soaked in jet fuel and not burn up ? Why did building 7 fall in its own footprint when it was not hit by a plane ? why did the plastic I D card survive the Pentagon crash ? and Why was there no piece bigger than a phonebook left at the PA crash? Same questions I have had for years .     Remember that this country keeps electing the lesser of 2 evils. So we still have eveil in high offices no matter who wins , we lose . To what degree they will go to get what they want is something I don't know . You can't believe two totally different stories as fact. One has to be incorrect either by error and not having done thier homework or an intentional attemp to make us believe what they want us to . That is were the individual has to do some research and come to their own conclusions.

 I see two choices either this is correct and the others are wrong or the others are correct and this one is wrong . You can't have it both ways . I mean here is NBC news saying one thing totally different from the others . This is not Joe Bob repoting for  some rag paper here . If NBC can't get it right then who are we supposed to listen to for the FACTS .  I see unanswered questions still.

I also believe it happened . I however am not sure as to who did it , if he acted alone , what he or they did it with and so on. I believe we get told what they ( The Government ) wants us to believe. I do not believe the "facts" add up and something seems to be off .   In December of 1978 the House Select Commitee on Assassinations finally said there was a second gunman and more than 3 shots in the JFK assassanation. Too much evidence to prove that the original story didn't add up. This happened because We the people kept searching for the truth !! I guess it is also known as polihing our tin hat .    I do not think it is wrong to question the facts in any event and no matter WHO is telling the facts. The Government is not above suspicion just because they release the "facts" . If you don't question the Government then you must believe , that these guns are the problem and without guns no murders will happen and slick Willie didn't have sex with that women. The evidence must be overwhelming but they have had to change the official story on events before. That means the official story was not correct or a lie either to protect someone or cover there onwn butt or just that we couldn't know the truth .   Never said it didn't happen , I am not sure it happened exactly like we are told it happened. There is a big difference in not believing it happend and not believing it happened like we are told it did. Not saying the Government is or is not involved or did or didn't know about it ahead of time. I am saying that when you leave so many unanswered questions in the minds of so many and give facts that change so many times before the "official" story is agreed upon , then you do nothing but create the breeding ground for the conspiracy theories.    A large part of the problem in my OPINION is the media!! Plain and simple , they try to be the first with "the breaking news" , the new updated facts and so on that they don't seem to care as much about accurate facts as they do about keeping you on their channel for the ratings .  Sometimes there is very little, if any truth in the facts we are told by the media . Figures don't lie but liers figure. If they can twist some fact to fit their agenda , they will . For example , Fact  , x number of gun murders in Britian last year .That number x is a true fact but the truth we need to know is  " if you remove as many guns as you can over a 15 year period GUN murders will go down but did MURDER go down . How many murders were committed last year? You have only removed 1 tool used to commit the act . If guns were banned  , how did you have any gun murders at all ?    I think it is healthy to ask questions no matter who is giving the story. View the evidence and do your own resaerch until you have your questions answered to what you can accept as the truth or in some cases to the point you realize that there is not enough facts available to come to a deffinite conclusion . I do not have to accept any version of any event just because whoever said it happened that way . I don't want anyone to accept what I say on anything . Do some research because if you are reading this , you have access to a computer .    If this makes me a tin hat person , then so be it. Give me a membership card and some Brasso , I got some polishing to do .

Never count your chickens before they hatch . But  every new gun sale , every new NRA member every email ,letter or call to your elected leaders send the message that we are informed and ready to dispute the false facts and stand up for our rights . Anyone with the hopes of re election knows it would be political suicide . Everyday that passes will make it that much harder for them to get it passed . Don't give an inch , make the calls and send the emails .

Headline on Juno email today is " CEO looses gun permit over plan to " start killing people " . Story on Newser with video. It will be popping up everywhere before it is over .

I always keep more than I need . Prepare for the worst and hope for the best . When the first ban was lifted it was time to start stocking up. New rifle = get plenty of mags then , later may be too late .

 Me and the wife took a trip up there the other day . AK metal mags 50.00 and so on . I think I saw 1 P mag and it looked like it was marked 75.00 .    I looked at primers for reloading and they were 5.00 a 100 . Probably my last trip . We went to Sporsman in Chattanooga and got primers for less than 3.00 a box of 100 or 27.99 for 1000 . I am trying to somewhat stock up on my reloading supplies so I have something to do over the cold months .     Vote with your money as mentioned before.

 I shoot lefty but am right handed due to an eye problem . To me I have never had any problems with Glock or some of the others that don't actually have a saftey that must be moved for the gun to be fired .Smith & Wesson and others also make them in this style.   It is one less thing to have to remember to do in a stressfull situation. I have never felt that the glock was unsafe to carry. I often also carry a Kel Tec 380 in a pocket holster quite often . Again it has no safety .     I suggest finding a indoor range that has some rental guns. I have seen several that offer permit classes have a variety to choose from . Look them over and find one that you feel comfortable with and run some rounds through it . You might not like it , then try another one until you find one you like before you buy one.

I can tell you from personal experiance that some of these drugs are a problem with some people . In 2008 I lost felling in my left leg due to degenerative disc disease. When I went to the doctor I was not thinking as clear as he seemed to think one should or something . I seemed depressed to him . I was in extreme pain , Wondering if It was going to be permanent and Thinking " am I going to be able to work "and so on . To me these are normal thought but He prescribed zololf for me and I too one pill. That day me and my wife ( of 28 years ) had a terrible argument and I was as irritable as could be . She realized it was the medicine . I am not saying I am that pleasant to start with but this was a change for the worse. I threw them away and and told him "I am supposed to be depressed I can't walk and I have a family deppending on me " . Never took another one and never will. Some doctors are all about getting you on another pill . Life is not always a bowl of cherries and sometmes it is normal to be depressed. Part of being an adult is learning to deal with what is going on around you . In my opinion ( that means nothing ) some believe that everytime you feel a little down you need something for it. I am not one of those. When for example a parent dies , or you are in your late 40's and you can't stand up , YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE DEPRESSED . But they want to shove some pill down you so you don't fell the normal feelings that you should be having . Some of these kids have been on everything under the sun for ADD and whatever they can come up and call it when most of the just had lacking of a parent being a parent and disciplining the child like they should have. After years of not having their true feeling and they hit some bump in the road of life , they can't handle it and go nuts. Thay are handed an award everytime they do some little thing at school that was nothing when I grew up . Everyone has to get an award or the others might feel left out or inferior in some way . I always told my kids life wasn't fair and to get used to it and deal with it . As a child you learn many things and to me learning to deal with what is going on around you is one of them. Life is what you can make it with what you have to make it with. I have always tried to do what was right . I don't steal and I don't buy anything that I think is stolen . I don't have much but what I have is mine . I worked and paid for it and can lay down at night with a clear conscience . I believe in God and always felt you will have to answer for wwhat you do at some point in time. It is not up to me to judge these people , but I knoe the gun did not do it on its own. To me it is the person behind the gun that is always the problem . The responsibility lies on the person that pulled the trigger . Everytime you send a bullet out of a firearm ,YOU are responsible for what happens !!!! Good or bad YOU did it and if YOU can't handle that , then don't pick up a gun. The problem is not the gun. YOU are also resposible for storage of your firearms . I always lock the car and hide it if it is left in there . Again this is just my opinion and that doesn't mean much . Sorry for the rant . In closing , I believe it would be more productive to start looking at the shooters for the problem . Medicine might be a contributing factor and I feel it is . Seems the 2 of latest grew up in high dollar income families so being poor and deprived can be ruled out on those 2 shootings . Violence from games , movies or TV some say is the problem . Maybe so but if you can't tell the difference in games and Hollywood " YOU HAVE A PROBLEM "!!!!! As some may know I sort of have a tin foil hat so ,I am not sure we will ever get to the bottom of it and get the truth. I am not convinced that there was just one shooter in either shooting .But the gun in thier hand was evil simply because the person was evil. You MUST look at what you can change and accept what you can't but the main thing is to know the difference in what you can change and what you must accept. You CAN'T change the fact that the gun doesn't fire on its own so we must look somewhere else !! As a resposible gun owner you are responsible for the storage as well . That doesn't mean that someone can't steal your gun and use it in a crime but at least make it to where they had to leave evidence that it was stolen . Broken window or something so when you report it stolen there is some kind of proof that it was locked up. Again this is my opinion ,The responsibility for every bullet that comes out of a gun lies on the SHOOTER , good or bad , right or wrong that is what I believe . If you can't answer the results of the bullet you send out of the barrel , THE PLEASE DO NOT PICK THE GUN UP. I do not believe that criminals or those with some mental problems should have access to firearms. that is where the buck stops with me.

I was told there was a drill there for a school shooting and that was why the response time for the FBI was as quick as it was . I was told the nearest FBI office was 30 miles away . The one telling me saw an article printed from the net but I didn't actually see it myself .    I also remember hearing of a theater drill in Colorodo the same day as there shooting. Never checked it out because so much other stuff didn't add up , I figured we are not going to get the truth anyway.  I guess I will start looking into this as well.    How many of the last mass shooting have been close to some kind of gun control bill ? I know the UN treaty was coming up , but wasn't there something around the time of Columbine ? Again I have not researched it .   I spent many hours searching for info on the JFK assasanation and have tons of DVD's ,many from overseas and it is amazing to the degree of false info that is put out to us by our Government and how many witnesses died .

Commando , You think more highley of him than I do .   I believe as everyday goes by and more voices are heard that it will be harder to pass . We have so much better ways to let our voice be heard and to get the information we need than we had in 94 . We also will not say it won't happen because it has before . All the gun sales ,email and new NRA membership has to be sending a message that anyone with hopes for re election can't deny . Of coarse that doesn't apply to King Hussein unless they change the 22nd amendment. And that has been brought up.

And someone survived 3 shots from the mega powerful AR 15 , that can't be used for hunting because it will totally destroy a deer , blowing its whole side out . I wish I could remember who reported that bull .    They will twist it around and want to know why did a 15 year old have access to this kind of killing machine. Don't expect to hear much , if any on the mainstream media about it.     A son , the dad should be proud of . I am ashamed of what the media and some political leaders are trying to do to the second amendment .

Having built several AK's from parts kits at home for personal use , they must be 922r compliant  , it was our understanding that 922 r does not apply to NFA firearms . We thought that NFA overruled 922 r . Pistols are exempt from 922 r. But I am no expert and can always be wrong .   And yes it is easy to build an AK  that would not be compliant .On a milled receiver 5 parts must be replaced and on a stamped receiver , 6 parts . Most that are imported already built will meet this requirement , but building from a parts kit is different . Parts kits come with original trigger groups ( 3 parts ) , stock sets and grip ( 3 more ) and so on.  I took extra steps to make sure all mine comply without having to count any magazine parts. Just incase a non USA magazine got installed at the wrong time or place, it would still be legal.   You also need to pay attention when converting a Saiga .A conversion would need to apply .I also converted an SLR 95 and made sure it complies as well . I always figured I would end up being the first one to get charged so I made mine comply . I didn't want to be the one they made an example out of.    I have heard it said that the installing of a magazine is , by some , concidered "assembling" and if that is true and you stuck the wrong magazine in at the wrong time you could be the lucky first winner of the 922 r violation prize . Not sure if it would hold up or if it is true.     At this point in time They are probably looking for anyone that they can demonize to help there cause. Just imagine the news of a Law abbiding citizen , that legally purchased a legal rifle and has altered his AK to now an illegal status . The facts have not entered in before and I see no reason to believe that the facts would matter now. Just a headache I don't need .

There is so much going on it is hard to keep up with what is where.     I was listening as it was going on and heard them clearly report that the rifle was found in the trunk of the car. I also originally heard 4 weapons that later tuned into 3.

The thing I hear is "through congress" !   That is why I think people are concered about the executive order .   All the new gun purchases as well as new NRA memberships have to send a message to those in congress that want to be re elected  . Doesn't matter much for king Hussein who can't run again unless he gets the 22nd amendment changed as well . And that has been brought up .
