  1. If you don’t mind me hanging out and asking questions I’d love to see it in action.
  2. I will check it out this weekend. I’ve read quite a bit already. I think I’m good on the steps and background. My interest is in cost effectiveness and time. Mainly I would cast them powder coat 300 blackout subs and maybe some 357. Would it be worth the time and would I save enough to justify it. Then is it something I actually enjoy.
  3. Anyone around Columbia process their own lead and cast? I’ve been reloading for a couple of years and am now curious about casting. Would like to find someone near by who wouldn’t mind me hanging out while they go through the steps. I’ve seen plenty of YouTube videos but would like to see it first hand before I dive into it. Have been collecting lead for a while and just not sure if it’s right for me yet.
  4. All I see if the photobucket warning Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I have the smooth version. Be careful they are sharp. Mine bit me twice just to teach me to respect it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I have 2 similar to this, love them. Fun guns and plenty accurate. Nice build. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I am cross eye dominant. I shoot pistols with a modified stance and squint my right eye. I shoot my rifles with red dots right handed both eyes open. I shoot scoped rifles right hand heavy squint left eye. Shotguns I shoot left eye closed or blocked off. Try not to close the eyes completely if she can. There are other ways to train you right eye to be dominant but going for months with a patch over you eye doesn't look cool unless you're a pirate.
  8. I'm heading up Friday for the day.
  9. Primary arms scopes are one of the best buys out there. I've got one of their older 4-12 scopes and it is extremely nice for the money. They have a 4-14 mil dot for under $200 with an awesome warranty.
  10. Smith and wesson sd9ve and throw in an apex trigger kit and you are still under $400 if you get it from academy on sale.
  11. Hell my cheap wasr 10 ak has been flawless, even after total abuse on my part.
  12. I've got a stag, a psa, a couple home built. Only ones I didn't like were the aero precision, spikes, and double star. aero precision and spikes fit was loose on all the uppers I tried, aero precision when adjusted had a gap almost 1/16 of an inch and would slam fire. double star cracked at the rear takedown pin hole.
  13. I'd be getting my friends and turning walmart or CVS or something into a fortified well guarded "hangout".
  14. humans survived thousands of years as hunter gatherers, even through winter. Trap, hunt, kill, and extend your food stuffs by supplementing. Scavenge locations and loot what you find in that situation. Remember that while it may not taste good it may still be edible.
  15. Approx 100+ various mags loaded and ready to go here. Add the 30k rounds of various calibers (mostly 22lr) and I would say I'm pretty good to go.
  16. I was traveling 74 miles 1 way to work for almost a year. I have kept a get home bag in my trunk for a couple of years. I'll take some pictures and inventory this weekend and share. I also keep an ammo can with spare mags, first aid, and additional food stuffs in the trunk. Along with a strap so it can be carried like a satchel. Spare clothes (jeans, jacket), hiking boots, wool socks, 3l of water, and a handheld gps. I have done 8 mile hikes while lugging everything I keep in the trunk. You may not think you have that much stuff but a couple miles hiking through the woods with no trails will quickly show you if your pack is too heavy.

Anybody here have one? I picked one up for a steal. Had the 22 mag cylinder in it when I got it home I swapped it over the the 22lr. The 22lr cylinder has a little play to it. Not tons but it's there and definitely has more than the 22mag cylinder. This being my first wheel gun I don't know what the acceptable amount of play is, if any. So just wondering if anyone else has one and if so is it the same as mine?
  18. I picked up the silent cat from my brother for a steal. He shot is a couple times and decided he wanted something 22.
  19. What about just a regular handheld cb? Worth the cost or effort?
  20. yeah It is a little loud. Fun and cheap to shoot though
  21. supposed to 1250 with the right ammo. It's a single pump break action.
  22. I have just been shooting the flat point daisy pellets from walmart but bought some hollow point and pointed pellets too.
  23. I'm really digging this thing so far. I couldn't believe the accuracy.
  24. So with the recent ammo shortage I decided to pick me up an air rifle for small game. I snatched up a gamo silent cat at a good price and have been stocking up on pellets. I decided to go with the .177 for the higher velocity. So far so good. I sighted the scope at 25 yards and can easily hit a nickle at 40. As soon as the weather warms up enough for furry critters to start moving more about I will test it out for lethality.  By the time that gets here I will have plenty of pellets and they are readily available and cheap. If it works like I hope this may turn out to be my new rodent elimination weapon of choice.
