  1. Not that I know of. I'm not trying to say that it was a big deal, it's just that his carry method was really obvious and people still didn't notice.
  2. I met my brother and his wife at a local barbecue place for lunch today and noticed a fellow patron open carrying. He was carrying some flavor of full-size XD at about 2:00 on his belt. He left part of the way through our meal, so I asked my two family members if they had happened to notice that the guy in the grey shirt had a gun. They both gave me surprised responses. One of them asked me, "Did you see it in his pocket or something?" They were more surprised when I mentioned that it was on his belt for all the world to see, and that he had walked right past them immediately after we had entered the store. I know some people feel very self conscious when carrying. The above is a great example of why you've really got very little to worry about. Most people wonder around in Condition White. If they don't notice a balantly unconcealed weapon, they probably won't see your concealed one.
  3. I've ordered from them also. Smooth transaction, fast shipping, and no complaints.
  4. Camp, I remember that particular stage where you hit the popper three or four times before it fell. The hits that didn't drop it were a bit low of center. I had to make two hits on that same popper with my Glock 19. Also, I feel like I should apologize. By the time you were getting quite frustrated with it, I was laughing at the whole situation. What would you say the general differences are?
  5. I was also in John's squad. I'll second him doing a great job as SO. And yes, he paid me several hundred cents to say that. Throughout the match, I identified several things I need to work on and, most importantly, had an absolute blast while doing it. Thanks for hosting this match guys!
  6. I'll try to make it. Is there anything else we'll need to do before showing up for registration that morning?
  7. "Successful life bodystyle" cracked me up. Good videos, Paul.
  8. I've often seen "little brown men" used as a nickname for the Gurkhas. I do not know its origin, but I do not think it is usually a derogatory remark, but more likely a reference to a story in their history. For instance, this page on the Himalayan Imports site(a Nepalese company who makes kukris) uses the phrase in reference to the Gurkhas.
  9. If all you want is a decent EDC, then don't get all wrapped up around different steels. Just select a model from a quality manufacturer that appeals to you and do a little research on that model to make sure it isn't a hunk of crap.
  10. I've had Art of Manliness in my RSS reader for a while now. It's very worthwhile.
  11. Both PistolGear.com and XDpistols.com are showing some some "semi drop-in" .357 Sig barrels of varying lengths.
  12. Balisongs aren't specifically mentioned, but they would probably fall under TN's definition of a "switchblade."
  13. Generally speaking, I'm a sucker for green guns.
  14. King's Firearms is in downtown Columbia, and I believe they charge $20 + $10 for the background check , so $30 per gun. Not super, but not bad either.
