  1. J frame with 3" barrel. 158gr swc.
  2. 1940's Savage mod 99EG, .300 sav. caliber. 99%, undrilled and tapped.
  3. Looking for a shop in the middle Tn. (Cumberland Countyish) area to mill a 1911 frame for a ramped barrel. Any suggestions?
  4. I've got one I use in an AR pistol I built. Good squirrel gun with a brace. 5.56 out of a 10" is painful.
  5. It's unscoped, A2 style front and rear sights, and I'm shooting Tula may-pops with aging eyes. Consistant ring an 8 inch plate at 50 yd.
  6. I've got one. PSA build, cheap bolt, c products mags, never had a problem.
  7. Nylon 77, rem 550-1, and an old springfield single shot for shooting .22 shorts.
  8. I built one. With the brace and a 10.5 barrel it shot well, but the muzzle blast with 5.56 was horrible. I stuck a .22lr adapter in it and its a fun little squirrel gun now.
  9. I like the older A1 length stocks over the A2's. Use a rifle tube and spring on either.
  10. I bought a couple of firearms through them a year or so ago. They were from a sheriffs auction, and had been apparently stored in a damp evidence locker since confiscation. I would definitely recommend looking over the gun in person, and be aware that all firearms (including antiques) have to go through the background check and registration.
  11. I've had good luck with 4 of the PSA/Anderson lowers. Catch them on sale.
  12. I had the Rem 760 in .270. Shot good, but it rattled. The lock up was the regular multi lug remington style used on their 740, 788, 600 series, in calibers up to .350 mag. (3000 fps w/ 200gr, 2500 w/ 250 gr.).
  13. Got this one Saturday with a 1979 harley shovelhead. pushing a size 7 1/2 helmet at 55mph velocity. He never knew what hit him, 'though I damn sure did.
  14. I picked up a S&W 36 and a rem 870 at their last auction. The Overton count sheriff's evidence locker is apparently in a creek, and Putnam's looks to be about the same. Prices are a lot higher on this one, though. The actual people running the auction are pretty professional, however, and the payment/paperwork process is fairly quick.
