  1. I built one. With the brace and a 10.5 barrel it shot well, but the muzzle blast with 5.56 was horrible. I stuck a .22lr adapter in it and its a fun little squirrel gun now.

  2. I bought a couple of firearms through them a year or so ago. They were from a sheriffs auction, and had been apparently stored in a damp evidence locker since confiscation. I would definitely recommend looking over the gun in person, and be aware that all firearms (including antiques) have to go through the background check and registration.

  3. I had the Rem 760 in .270. Shot good, but it rattled. The lock up was the regular multi lug remington style used on their 740, 788, 600 series, in calibers up to .350 mag. (3000 fps w/ 200gr, 2500 w/ 250 gr.).

  4. I picked up a S&W 36 and a rem 870 at their last auction. The Overton count sheriff's evidence locker is apparently in a creek, and Putnam's looks to be about the same. Prices are a lot higher on this one, though. The actual people running the auction are pretty professional, however, and the payment/paperwork process is fairly quick.
