  1. I haven't been yet, but hope to sometime. http://jacksonisr.com/Home.html
  2. I believe some have said that Nashville's Airport is properly posted...at least parts of it anyway.
  3. Now that's a good one!!!
  4. Did you click on the "US Off Limits.." links on Handgunlaw.us[/url}? I have always found state specific info I have needed there. The "RV/Car Carry" link also has good info on carry in automobiles. Info from above on OH..
  5. Welcome
  6. Oh yeah....it's the cute ones you have to watch the most.
  7. Pocket 95% of the time OWB 3 o'clock 4% of the time Shoulder 1% of the time.
  8. Who's that guy with you?
  9. Very true. HCPs of course only apply to Handguns. Hunting, etc... with a long gun is already legal without a carry permit.
  10. Welcome
  11. If you can arrange it canynracer...I'm all for it...
  12. I don't recall the OP saying the Wal-Mart employee was scared. Also have read many more "nothing happened" post when someone OC'd as opposed to "this soccer mom grabbed up her kids and ran away screaming" post.
  13. Funny thing is, I'm generally a cynic myself.
  14. Welcome
  15. ....and you assume the opposite, right? Ergo our difference. But I totally agree on Eddie.
  16. But...can't the first conversation happen even if someone OCs (In fact it often does) ...and can't the second happen even if someone CC's? (Other than the part on his hip)
  17. I'm not sure if there is an article or anything I can point to to show this, but from all I have seen posted and read about those that where around and helped form current permit law....the reason Tungsten states is the reason the lack of concealment was left out of the law. It's my understanding that some thought local sheriff's (who issued the permits before and may not have liked the fact the state was now going to do it) would arrest someone if their weapon became exposed. Also Tungsten is right in that in some states you can be arrested for even just printing. Believe or not, TX is one of those. Although there is a campaign to allow OC in TX going on. Gold means you can OC without a permit. Green you can OC with a permit. Red no OC at all. Others have some varying degree. For more info you can visit Opencarry.org
  18. I'll be here waiting....
  19. I simply agree to disagree.....
  20. I agree... To each his own on OC or CC I was thinking the figure of those with a HCP was a fair amount over 300,000. But yes, we need to be more united. I swear the anti-OC people among HCP holders are worse than the anti-gun people in the general population when it comes to the "Why do you need to?" questions and the like. Also...Wal-Mart or any store can choose to ban carry, allow CC only or OC and CC. So if a place allows CC but not OC, I would rather save my energy to fight the battles against places that don't allow carry at all.
  21. Some people simply don't shy away from attention or confrontation (if they are legal and/or within their rights). He apparently is comfortable with the attention and/or confrontation that OC may bring. Because others aren't, is it that hard to believe some are? It still strikes me so funny that on a gun board so many people have locked on the OC part of the story as opposed to the fact that he was asked to leave instead of cover it up. ...and that the person that confronted him said "They do not allow guns in the store" period OC, CC or otherwise.
  22. Why would you ask Why? What I mean is, it is obviously his choice to OC. The debate on OC vs CC has been covered extensively on here many times. If you want to see the pros and cons simply do a search.
  23. ....and my point was that many instructors stop counting hits after 35. Also that nothing on any paper work shows 75% or 80% or 95% etc... on how many hits you got, simply that you "passed". (If you got at least 35 hits that is). I would just think if you are qualifing there would be a more precise record of how you did.
