  1. There is NO blanket ban on carry at government offices/buildings/grounds. Most have to post just like any other place. The only place you can't carry at the courthouse and that doesn't have to post a sign is a courtroom when court is in session. 39-17-1306
  2. Chip I agree that it is hard to put a lot of faith in the judicial and legislative branches on this. However I'm not sure this ruling would cause new bans to be issued, I don't see TN or other state all of sudden banning AR's or AK's. Although I agree with the wording of this ruling it could still possible to do on a federal level at some point. Also this will more than likely simply lead to more cases to challenge what restrictions are reasonable.
  3. Welcome
  4. I would want to cuss him out and ask what his F-ing problem was, but that would probably pass quick and I would actualy end up just not worring about it becuase of molonabetn said... I really do think what goes around comes around.....
  5. I agree....
  6. Bet ya D.C. has Open Carry without a permit by the end of the year.... Ok...ok...one step at a time...lol
  7. Welcome
  8. This is an old article. I contacted Mr. Becker back when it was first published and for some reason when I try to copy and past the e-mails it won't post. But the jist was I told him about the preemption law and upon checking he admitted that local governments couldn't regulate how firearms could be worn in public, and that he should have worded it better. His intention was that under 39-17-1359 the could ban them from being worn period on posted government property. Of course AFAIK nothing was ever printed/published with the better explanation.

  11. Welcome Glad to see ya here. Same name here and on all forums in my sig.
  12. Not one that wants to be at the next ballgame anyway.....
  13. Forgive the temporary hijack.... You'd really think that being finger printed once would be enough, wouldn't you? Or no more than twice (State and Fed) I've been printed SEVERAL times (NO!!!..none for arrest ).......don't see why again. I have a CDL and keep thinking of getting my HazMat endorsement just to have to help get a part-time job, but the expense of getting finger printed again has kept me from doing it.
  14. Enjoy.... My first bike was Kawasaki 650. It was old and not pretty, but it was mine and loved it while I had it. Have Honda VTX 1300C now. Didn't start riding till my mid 30's myself...and still kick my tail I didn't start sooner.
  15. Oh we've all had the brainfart at times....glad it was no worse than it was. ....and the fact the dusted for prints is a lot closer as looks on TV than it would be if the same thing happened here. My mother just recently had $2000 stolen from her purse in her living room. (Don't get me started as to why things were like that). PD responded next morning when she called. Took her name and info and that was about it. Have a 99% idea of who it is...local thief lives across the street, not sure if they have even talked with him and not heard anything since.
  16. Pretty funny....
  17. HELP!! I can't stop laughing........
  18. +1 on Scalia At first I was upset that he wasn't picked for Chief Justice, but since then some have pointed out with Roberts being so young just how long he will not only be on the bench but be there as Chief Justice.
  19. Welcome from the west side of the river.
  20. This article on their website reads about the same way. But if you read closely it doesn't say the new regulations are in place yet....but it does say they should be by the end of June.
