  1. I felt up a CZ 75 once, forgot which model it was. P0something... May have been the P07 Duty but it felt damn good in the hands. There is still a CZ75 on my to-get list.
  2. Since there would be no valves pushing into and out of the combustion chamber it could allow for higher compression ratios without worry about the pistons contacting the valves. I don't think they are saying that higher compression ratio was a result of the valveless head, moreover they can get more compression because of the design.
  3. Yeah, I had one last night actually. 3 armed people came in the house so I grabbed my AR and shot two of the people then it jams on me. Cleared it, shot the other guy 5 times, bullets didnt do anything to the guy and my rifle jams again and I cant clear it so I switch to my glock shot him a few more times then it jammed too. Cleared it and unloaded on the guy and I woke up.
  4. I did it once because I wanted to see what it was like. Ran a few rounds of .45 through my glock and that was enough. But when my buddy was shooting about 6 feet away it wasnt loud enough to hurt my ears. Out doors of course. I wouldnt do it much if you do. Thats the only time I have shot with no ears on.
  5. I have actually seen that with factory loaded.... I want to say Remington or Winchester .45 ammo. I was curious how that happened as well.
  6. I have a HD Hero 2 and I mainly use it to record motorsports, but I have used it to record while shooting. I used the forehead mount and it came out nicely. If you are using a long gun, you could mount it directly to it if you can figure out a mounting system. You can also hook up an external mic for better quality.
  7. Good one! Its really not THAT bad... for the most part. Dont forget, we have a bunch of idiot drivers here too. Youll be alright, just stay aware of your surroundings.
  8. The one thing I will add to this, MOST Circle K's gas stations I have seen in the memphis area ARE properly posted for no guns. Circle and slash, AND legal verbage. You can get gas there, but you cannot carry inside of the building. Either get someone else to pay, or leave it in the car for the few minutes you will be in there. I would just reccomend avoiding them all together.
  9. Oh god, I cant stop laughing!!!! Poor guy is going to come back to a ton of tickets on his windshield!
  10. Heres a raspberry LCP: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/firearms-classifieds/66921-fs-ft-ruger-lcp-rasberry-color.html Careful with the Taurus TCP! My buddy Just bought one on Wednesday, shot it friday and the firing pin shot out of it after 68 rounds. Had some failure to feeds with ball and JHP. Wouldn't feed reliably by doing the same as every other gun, slingshoting the slide back. It would hang up on the feed ramp. Anyways, that was his experience, and I can tell it because I was there when he bought it, and for his first range outing with it. Went back to the gunshop and they took care of him. Walked out with a LCP.
  11. I noticed you said a few years back, but that law has changed since then if you weren't aware. Legal to carry where alcohol is served now as long as you aren't drinking.
  12. Yeah, they have all kinds of neat stuff in there. I grew up in collierville and went there many times. I was really surprised when I went back a year or so ago to find the same kind older lady running the place dang near 15 years later. It was almost like reliving the past when I went in there because really, nothing had changed.
  13. Yeah, the policy is still the same, but its just a policy. The store isnt posted though Hope all is well for this guy. The robber got what he deserved.
  14. I got my order in today. I also looked them up after ordering and worried myself but they arrived. I just wish I had ordered more!
  15. I just punched the coupon code magpul in and the mags went down to 15.96 ea Thanks a lot!! Going to buy a few.

    Glock Question

I will take pictures tomorrow, but it appears that the rails are chrome plated. which is the chrome plating comes off, there is copper plating underneath it. I DO have copper plating showing. I removed the copper grease the day I got it a year and 1K rounds ago. Everywhere I read said to remove it, so I did and oiled with gun lubricant.

    Glock Question

My G30 is showing the copper on the rails after ~1200 rounds. Not the factory grease on mine. Just keep shooting it if it doesnt affect anything.
  18. I have come REALLY close to doing that twice!!! The front of my place has a column supporting an overhang, and the garage extends past the column. Front door is straight between the column and garage. Yeah, the spider had made a ~3 foot wide and tall web between the garage and this column and I was about 6 inches away from walking into it(it was dark outside too) when I noticed a big black thing just chilling in front of me. Stepped back and used my flashlight to find the humongous web. The other one was between a light post and a sign. Smaller web, but at face height. Luckily there were lights around so I saw the web from like 2 feet back. I sure as hell would have screamed like a girl had I walked through either one.
  19. Might be a little on the.... expensive side but check: Hidden safes and safe rooms - InvisiVault® They can probably make anything you want as well.
  20. Wow, awesome story! But sad that someone had to go and steal it while it was on display. Glad that the original owner got it back while he was still with us.
  21. I have recently been given a davis derringer in 22 mag. I noticed the firing pins stuck out at different heights so I took it apart to clean it. When i put it back together it wouldnt close on me. Anyway, long story short I found out the firing pins and the pockets they are in have to go in a specific barrel. Where the case sits has a slit in it for a flathead screwdriver. Mine had to go back together a specific way. That is what I would check first. Try swapping the cups top to bottom (check the firing pin first, see if they poke out equally, if they do keep them on the barrel they are in) and see if it will fix the issue with it hitting the rim of the chamber/barrel.
  22. Wow baja, you have many stories that are mind blowing really! As someone else said, if you write it, I will read it.
  23. I noticed one day that I was shooting like 4x4 low left and I noticed I was blinking everytime a shot rang off. I didnt feel that I was flinching, but looking at the target something was off. So I ended up forcing my eyes open and bam, shots went exactly where I wanted them to. So next time you are out try to pay attention to anything you are doing the moment the primer fires. You can also try putting a coin on your front sight and dry firing. You should be able to keep the coin from falling off of the front sight. I am nowhere near an awesome shooter, but its a few things I have tried that have worked to help me out. Just find out whats happening and work on trying to correct the problem.
