  1. Thanks. I'll stop by Bills tomorrow while I'm in the area.
  2. bulluck533 - Where is Bill's? I can handle $309. Piercedan - Every dollar counts to me. This is for a project and $30 or so saved at each step adds up. It also irritated me that they wouldn't let me take it down and wanted $15 for TICS.
  3. I'm interested in the 10/22 takedown. I stopped in to a local gun store and they had one. First, they wouldn't let me take it down because they said I might break it. It is priced at $331 and they said they were firm, cash in hand. They charge $15 for TICS plus tax. I can't justify spending $380 for the rifle but if I can find one somwhere that is a little cheaper, and only charges $10 for TICS I would probably buy one. Has anyone seen a 10/22 Take Down for around $299 with a $10 TICS? I think that would get me out the door for less than $350, which is my price point. Knoxville area is preferred, but tri-cities or Nashville is not a deal breaker. Let me know what you've seen. Hopefully my expectations aren't too far out of line. Thanks,
  4. I'm thinking about selling my reloading set up because I don't reload much anymore and have a stockpile built up. I started reloading when I had a sub gun, but sold it off and now just don't shoot thousands of rounds anymore. I have a Dillon Square deal B set up for 9mm with the strong mount and bullet tray, all the powder and primer warning buzzers and maybe some other accessories. flip tray, 7 or 8 small pistol primer tubes, a few large pistol primer tubes, 2000 winchester small pistol primers, 5000 or more once fired 9mm brass casings Dillon tumbler with clear lid, a lot of corn and walnut media, a few thousand unjacketed 147gr 9mm bullets Dillon powder scale, and all sorts of litle spare parts. I might also have .45 dies somewhere as well. What would something like this go for these days? Ballpark. Thanks for the help. *****It has been brought to my attention that it may seem as if I am skirting the benefactor rule.**** I am not. I was a benefactor up until a month ago and when I go to the TGOstore it won't let me add another membership because it says I have a pending invoice. I go to pending invoices and it won't let me pay. I plan on renewing my benefactor status before formally posting my items in the EE. If a moderator is viewing this. Send me a PM telling me what to do to renew.
  5. Anybody have feedback on the show that is going to be in Clinton? admission fee? Vendor selection. I need some ammunition and am wonderin gif it will be worth it to go.
  6. My buddy let his SOT go so I no longer have a transfer connection. Who wants to handle a transfer in the Maynardville/Knoxville area? I'm very familiar with the process and it will be easy. Accept a Form 3 item, fill out a form 4, keep my stuff in the safe until form 4 comes back. Shoot me a PM if you're interested and won't rape(figuratively) me.
  7. Thanks for the info so far. This will primarily be for night plinking with a suppressed .22 or .45 out to no further than 80 yards or so. If anybody has one they could give me a demo on sometime that would be great. I'd like to have an idea of what I'm getting before I make any purchases.
  8. I'm looking into either a dedicated night vision scope, or a monocular that I can mount in front of my existing scopes. Anybody have one, or have recommendations? Thanks, J.D.
  9. Hey all, I had my Kel-tec in a vehicle and it picked up some moisture and got some rust spots. I am going to strip and coat it now to both clean it up and protect from this happening again. I have used Gun-Kote from Brownells before but it isn't as durable as I would like. Does anybody have any recommendations for a good coating I can spray at home that will hold up well. I have a sprayer, so it doesn't have to be aerosol and I also have an oven, so it can be a bake on coating. I don't want to pay to have it coated since it is an inexpensive gun that is carried a lot. Thanks, J.D.
  10. Uzi Talk has a good MAC forum MAC-10 Talk - UZI Talk Forums With all of the accessories on the market for the M-11/9 it is a fun weapon and considered by most to be the best entry level automatic weapon based on price and parts/accessories available.
  11. I understand completey. I will say that if you purchase an automatic weapon get ready to start stashing away ammo. A stock MAC runs at or above 1100 RPM. It is also hard to find one for less than $3k right now, and that is if you're lucky.
  12. I love my M-11/9 with Lage upper. I am looking at moving into an UZI though. If you are interested in a complete package with suppressor check here: M-11/9 Submachine gun - Street Car Forums - auto forum uniting car and race enthusiast everywhere! It is in state so it would only be $400 in taxes. If you didn't want the can I'd knock off $200 and it would save you an additional $200 in taxes.
  13. If you'd like to compare a couple I have a Trident 9 and an Evo-9 that I use on a glock and I also 3-lug the trident and shoot it on an M-11 and an 9mm AR. You can also test run that Bowers Cac-9 if you'd like. I would recommend the Trident for dual purpose duty.
  14. I'll do the below package for $4800 now. I've run into some unexpected expenses. $4600 if you don't want the can.
  15. Yes, I'm sure he will build it but it is something you'll want to discuss with him about details. When you get down to a barrel that short the first baffle or two really take a beating. If you want to have a good time, there is a silencer shoot in GA on the 19th, see this ad: www.silencertalk.com I've been going the past few years and it is a blast. David will be there and you can talk to him personally.
  16. Well thanks I don't understand why this hasn't sold. It would take 6 months to put this package together again and cost more than $5000. Find mags, the micro-uzi stock was a custom job with a sling attachment point, the lage upper, reworked CAC-9 with 1/2-36 mount. The gun is available for test runs for prospective buyers. All original parts are included too.

Is the muzzle threaded on these?
  18. When Dave built my can it was a purely custom job; integral .45 on an AR platform in titanium/stainless. Here is a link to his site: www.libertycans.net Tell him J.D. in Knoxville sent you! Now that I think about it, I have a .22 can that he updated for me too.
  19. Liberty Cans does TOP NOTCH work. I have an integral .45 that they built for me. If you are interested in doing business with them I'll put you in touch with the owner. Great people to deal with and will build to order.
  20. I have one for sale. It is a package though: I have an M-11/9 that has a Sten magwell conversion done on it by Craig Wheatley years ago. The receiver is in great shape. Additions: Micro-uzi side folding stock Max-11 upper with standard weight bolt, about 650-700 RPM K-grip from Richard 20 Sten mags Freshly serviced CAC-9 suppressor with 1/2-36 mount Comes with original stock and upper receiver. Package also includes 1/2-36 3-lug adapter, nomex cover for the can, Lage gas deflector shown on the gun, and a quick detach sling Receiver and suppressor on Form 4 in TN. $5000 plus shipping and insurance.
  21. Yeah, the Olympic system uses a different design than the 'Colt' type 9mm. Talk to David Saylors at Liberty. He is in Trenton GA about 30 minutes from Chattanooga TN. I know he will chop, crown, and thread a barrel for you. He does great work and stands behind it. I'm not sure of his prices for that kind of work, but he was very reasonable on a custom job he did for me. You can contact him here: www.libertycans.net Tell him J.D. sent ya.
  22. Why do you have to keep the barrel you currently have? 9mm AR barrels are easy to change because you don't have a gas tube or anything to deal with. You can purchase a short 9mm barrel from many sources. I had a 7.5" Model 1 barrel that was great and only cost about $180 a year or so ago.
  23. Is it the couger or mini couger? I have the Beretta 8040 and have been very happy with it. It is a very smooth shooting and accurate full framed pistol. I gave $400 for mine about 7 years ago and it came with 5 mags and the original hard case and accessories.
  24. I use YHM flip sights. They cowitness with my Aimpoint.
