I noticed this course has been canceled. Are there any plans to reschedule? Thanks. -
I do not believe it is. I have also been told by a friend who works there that several band members carry while on stage. So there is that.

I know it's not on the list, but she looks like a Beyoncé to me. Ha

Probably Mindy Smith's version. It's pretty good, but I love the trippy music on the slowed down Dolly version.

You need to buy ammo at Charlotte Pike Walmart in case you have to fight your way back out. Scary. Glad you made it out unscathed. :)

Were I a conspiracy theorist I would point out that Obama's twitter account began posting non-stop gun control tweets, out of nowhere, roughly 2-ish hours before the school shooting. But I'm not a conspiracy theorist.

Thanks all for the info, advice, & offers. I'll definitely check all of that out. Hope you all have a great Sunday afternoon.

Alright guys, hopefully there hasn't been a ton of these posts before, but here goes: I am 33 & have never been hunting. Ever. I am wanting to change that this year. I want to be able to stock my freezer with meat that I procure. So what would your advice to me be? Where should I start? I have a friend/acquaintance or two I am thinking about hitting up for advice & to see if they would be up for taking me, but beyond that I am clueless. Not even sure they would want to do that. Thanks so much in advance for any advice you guys have.

Listening to Coast to Coast AM? Haha. I knew a guy named Richard Stuck in school. We also had a teacher named Harry Richard Biter. How parents, even back in the day, didn't think through that, I'll never know.

Was there this evening. They have quite a few Glock mags, even a few 33 rounders.

I like Manny's alright. I hit him up every now & then. Really love his pepperoni rolls.

I'm gonna go ahead & vote for NY Pie in Nashville West. Phenomenal fresh & great reheated. J&G in Manchester is my other favorite pizza. Great reheated as well. And Soulshine on Division in Midtown Nashville is pretty good if you like more specialty pizzas. Also, as a bonus, they have unreal BBQ nachos.

Love them. Wish I were going. Have fun & be ready to not hear anything for a few days

Murfreesboro Police gun buyback this Saturday
bourne replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Yeah, I believe it was in Seattle.

If I could spare extra cash at the moment I would be up for doing that in the Boro. -
Hmmm. I got the same letter yesterday saying I owe $513. Happy Christmas!

Thanks, all, for the advice an reaffirmation. Collecting PMags & ammo now. Going to collect more training when the wife's job situation stabilizes.

Good to hear. My initial reaction was "Gotta get an AK while the getting is good. " But upon thinking rationally today, I began thinking "ammo, magazines, training. . . " Wanted to double check here to make sure I wasn't missing something.

I think I know my answer, but I wanted to run this question by you fine folks to compare your counsel with what I'm thinking. I bought an AR earlier this year. I have been thinking about picking up an AK, which will be a bit tougher, at least for the immediate future. I also would like to procure a .308 at some point to round out my collection. However, given the current situation out in the big wild world, do you all think it is wise for me to (1) find an AK, (2) forget the AK and get a .308, or (3) forget both (1) and (2) and instead put any money that would be spent there towards a red dot, more ammo, etc.? Thanks in advance. Edit: Had to clean up inadvertent emoticon shenanigans.

I am pretty loyal to Glock, but bought a PPS for my wife's tiny hands. I LOVE this gun. I would choose this over a 26 for EDC. Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2

My wife finally took her carry class
bourne replied to timcalhoun's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
My wife took the course last week through Franklin Gun Shop. I thought they did a great job teaching, and she impressed me with her shooting (especially considering she has no real experience). Now I have to convince her to actually get her permit. She has no desire to. Congrats to your wife!
