  1. I was wanting to use a drum because from what I have seen there is not a lot of cutting and welding involved. I thought when I saw someone using one on a bbq forum it would be easy to find a drum/barrel but guess not. I will try to see if I can find one online for a decent price if not I will just scrap the idea.
  2. Thanks again for the help!
  3. Thanks SWJewell,   I will go by Almaville Road this Saturday to see if the guy is out there. Thanks for the reply. Would you happen to have the name of the places online that sells them?
  4. I am interested in building an "UDS" Ugly Drum Smoker, but I am having the hardest time finding a food grade 55 gallon Steel drum. Does anyone have idea where I can find one close to Symrna or Murfreesboro area? I see them for sale all the time on cragislist but they always tend to be at least 2 hrs or more away. I can't see driving that far to spend $20 bucks.
  5. Ok I will give them a try on Friday
  6. I may take you up on that offer if I can't find anyone closer. Thanks!
  7. Does any one in the LaVergne or Smyrna area own a MGW Sig Sauer sight pusher that they may be willing to rent for a day. It typically cost about $25 to have sights installed. I am willing to pay the $25 to rent the tool for a day. I have tried calling several gun shops close to my area and they either don't have a gun smith or since it is a sig they don't have the tools at the gun shop and will need to keep my slide for a few days. I am really not wanting to part with my p226 for a few days to have sights installed. I don't know if sig sights are that much harder than any other gun but I had my sights on my S&W M&P changed at Nashville Armory in a matter of minutes. I took my sig p226 to them and they said they would have to keep it a few days and bring it back because the gun smith did not have the tools onsite.
  8. Hi Andy,    I have one and it is pretty good. I really like how easy it is to sharpen my knives, The only thing you have to be aware of is if you get extremely hard steel like sv30 it takes a long time to put a nice edge back on it with the basic stones.    Also I have to really take my time with re-curve blades if not I end up really sharpening the belly and not the rest of the cutting surface.
