So I recently got a new Hornady Lock-n-load AP press. I am building a case feeder for it. Do any of you guys have this press with the feeder? I want to know what parts are inside the case shuttle that keep the cam wire in the center of the slot.

I've watched a couple of his videos, which is like an hour and a halves worth. I like his honesty. "oops, I just made a mistake. I can't believe you guys are watching my videos". I have followed his advice and deburred my press as well as machining a custom "washer" to hopefully eliminate some common shellplate issues. I am working on a case feeder for it now.

I also ordered shellplates and extra bushings. Since I already have a Hornady powder drop, I plan on setting it up for pistol, 9mm specifically. 9mm will be a drop in setup, with no adjustments needed. The powder drop coming with the press will be for small rifle. And I should have enough bushings for my rifle dies to make swapping calibers a very small task.

I ordered a LNL today. Midsouth had them on sale for $389. And Hornady is offering 500 free bullets with the purchase. I will probably come up with a case feeder too. And I agree with your comments about setting the bullets myself, I just like that part. Thanks for the input folks.

So I currently have a Lee single stage press for decapping and resizing rifle(.223 & 300BLK). And I have a Lee Loadmaster I have done a ton of work to getting it to run right that I use to assemble rifle, and do 9mm. It has a Hornady powder drop that I love. But it just has too many small issues that drives me nuts. Sooooo, I'm thinking about buying a new press. I do not want a Dillon. Yes, they are premo. But they are also expensive. Tool heads for them are also expensive. I don't want to invest that much into a press. This Hornady lock-n-load is calling my name. I like the die bushing setup instead of a turret plate. I like the spring case retainer design. I like how it indexes. Not crazy about the 100 count primer tube, but I'm a machinist, so I'll modify it to accept more I'm sure. Anybody own one? Likes? Dislikes?

That is my plan exactly DS. As a matter of fact, look what I have done to my 300BLK rifle to achieve 16" barrel requirements. Its welded to the barrel. That sure is a fancy flash hider huh? And now my Form 1 can is an attachment I can use on other rifles using an adapter.

Neat video. If you block those 2 holes and put holes on the other side I see how the right ear will get less noise. But the gas still has to go somewhere. Being crammed into the smooth bore of the upper, it can go down, or back. Back isn't going to taste good at all. I'm in visioning gas puffs coming out where the receivers mate, out the trigger hole and bottom of the magazine(worse than normal). Still, its worth a try. I've seen carriers on Ebay for like $50 if you need a guinea. It will definitely make for dirtier gun guts. Another idea. What if you took a couple of these and cut the mass of the filter off flush with the actual fitting, making it shorter. I have used these many times through the years on fixtures and they work great for short blasts of air. Even when the bronze filter gets broken off and all that's left is whats inside the fitting. Now this is more like it. Cleaned up nice. Rubbed a little BLO on the stock where the finish is worn. The bore is gorgeous. Should be a lot of fun at the range.

There isn't much cosmo at all. It's just dirty. Stock has a dingy haze on it, but cleans off easy. I just want to break it down, clean it and lube it how I like. Kinda like when my brother in law buys a car, and I mean brand new car, he drives it straight home and details it. This is after the detail shop at the dealership gets done. He wants it his way. Us gun guys are no different.

Nope. I was hoping they would include a sling. It was an 80% chance I would get one. Oh well.

I just bought 200 more Hornady 208gr match bullets coming home from Murfreesboro, and I've got brass in the tumbler. Oh goodie!

I had to adjust my block again after dropping to 9.4gr

World of difference huh. Drop the powder charge from 10.0 to 9.4. Went from 1075-1100 to 980-1010. I think I like it!

Gas port is .101  I did make an adjustable gas block that works really well. I adjusted it in until it turned into a bolt action rifle, then backed it out a half turn and ran about 50 rounds through it. Cycled perfectly and put all the brass in a pile at 4 o'clock. I am still learning and figuring out what works. Yesterday was the first time I got to shoot it. So I was excited that it ran well and didn't have any issues. Now its just a matter of fine tuning the load. I have added a couple cone shaped inserts to the core. I just welded them in place. In the blast chamber and the last chamber. They should help disrupt some.

Are you referring to the Missouri bullets? I had wondered if you could get them to feed right. I got all excited and was going to order some, but then decided not to because I was afraid they will be hard to seat deep enough and work in an AR magazine.

I am going to load a few today with 9.5gr and see what they do. I have watched several videos on youtube, and in several of them you still hear some report. But then there are a couple videos that's like, dang you only hear the action of the rifle. That is obviously the goal. We might be doing a Gatlinburg trip before too long. Sounds like a great chance to meet in person and compare notes.
