1. The link isn't working. I was interested in buying a few as well if they are still available. Just didn't want to start a thread about it.  Just assumed there weren't any left.
2. Yeah it's like a 2004. It's got some hardware issues that come and go as well just not worth it. Id rather spend 200-300 on a new one.
3. It's too old to support windows 7. I think after talking to the wife we are just going to get something cheap to handle our basic needs. Id love to have a nice rig but I'd rather not compromise with a lower budget but save and get something nice later on. Thanks for all the advice. It has helped me narrow it down.
4. Why?
5. Thanks Jonnin. Just seems that AMD is usually the processor in the less expensive options but for what I'm doing it may not matter. I'm gonna visit best buy tonight to put my hands on a few. Other than Newegg or Tiger direct are there any better places to order from?
6.   My biggest priority is to get something that will last a while. Which is why I want to go with Windows 8. I don't need touch screen and don't really want it. It also looks like the new update fixed some of the issues with using it non-touch.   Putting the Mac option aside for now what should I look for in specs on the PC?   AMD or Intel?   Whats brands have you had the best luck with?
7. Nah I am semi familiar with the Mac OS so that's not an issue. Someone tell me more about this Mac Mini. Is is essentially the equivalent of a PC tower? Looks like it has HDMI output. Can I just hook this up to any TV with a wireless mouse and keyboard and go?
8. Jonnin it's really a matter of this being the straw that broke the camels back. This PC is 10 years old and has been on it's last leg for a while now. I got up this morning and it just would not coopereate at all with me. I doubt it has anything to do with XP no longer being supported but who knows. We are just ready for a new one.   My main goal is to get something that will last for a good while. It seems that will push my budget up into the $700-800 range. If that's the case I may as well buy a Mac. The biggest allure to me is just having everything on the Apple platform.
9. :stunned:  Didn't know that was possible. Let me check into it.
10. Yeah we will definitely be getting 8.1 rather than 8 as well as the touchscreen. Should have mentioned that as a requirement as well if we go with a laptop.   I am assuming 8.1 is a new OS altogether rather than an update for 8.
11. While I am pretty tech savvy myself I am looking to get a new PC since XP is no longer supported. I have nailed down the fact that I want an intel processor rather than AMD but am looking to solicit a few more suggestions.   I know I want a laptop but have not decided on a traditional or tablet hybrid. I want to get the most bang for my buck in the $300-$500 range. I will be using it mostly as a host for itunes and my budget software but may possibly want to get some recording software in the future.   IF I can get more for my money with a desktop then feel free to suggest it. I don't currently have a monitor either.   I would love to have a Mac but just can't justify that much money for something I won't use that often.
12. I'll take #09 if it's still available. Or 08 as a second preference. I edited my post in the buy in thread but didn't want to clutter it up with a new post. If not then no big deal.
13. Count me in! Thanks for doing this Willis. Also another thanks to David , TGO and all involved! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk   I'll take number 09 if it's still available as well. Or 08 if it's available as a second preference.
14. Haha sorry. I saw it but didn't read.
15. Any idea on the projected arrival/complete time?
16. I am tempted to get a higher end knife but I'm gonna have to wait and see about the final price. I do have an anniversary coming up!
17. That happened to us on Thursday at work. Around 30-40 calls that one day with no one on the other line. ID said unknown number.
18.
Mines on there as well. I have never looked into any 700 parts which trigger would be good around the $100 mark.
Timney and jewel are the names that come up frequently.
19. Luckily mine is the non pro version!
20. Awesome series as well.
21. Just left the Walmart by 100 Oaks Mall and they had 10 bricks on the shelf. An officer ahead of me bought 6 and I bought 1.......then once I got to the truck realized that was stupid and went back for the other three. A lady also brought a cardboard box from the back for him which I believe was more .22 ammo. They may have more in the back. They had plenty of everything else as well with no limit on amount that they mentioned. It's possible that since I saw the officer buying so much they had to let me do it as well. If you need 9mm or any other handgun caliber they had it. May be worth a shot for the .22 as well.
22. I shot IDPA once before I moved to Nashville. Are the gear requirements basically the same? Gun, holster, 2-3 mags, mag carriers, cover garment? Do they ever set up any reactive targets? I work about a mile for NA so I am really excited about being able to take this up again.
23. Seems to have worked! I shot about 15 mags with one round in them with no broken followers. For what it's worth I did notice that the mag with the broken follower had the mag spring installed backwards. Could be something to that. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
24. I think we are going to give Guns and Leather a shot today. The wife wants to go check out the Hendersonville area. $200 for a year membership ain't bad either.
25. Wouldn't bother me one bit. I could go hunting after work on weekdays!
