I shudder to think what that piece of leather cost you but the end results were and are sure worth the expense and effort. Nice job.
  2. https://www.pinterest.com/oslec58can/the-winchester-1907-self-loading-rifle351-wsl-cali/ I'm thinking this is the rifle you are asking about.
  3. I don't think that they're geared up to build cutting edge technology weapons platforms yet and will have to build out the infrastructure and have their scientists and engineers educated to a high enough number to do the design and continued improvements.
  4. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IAIO_Qaher-313 Yeah, they've been talking about the mock up made from F-5 odds and ends since 2013. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northrop_F-5 You might notice some F-5 components on that F-313 being taxied around in the video.
  5. Best part of the video hands down was the look on your fathers face when the car keys were passed to him. He has an expressive face and is a genuine hoot to watch when y'all stage up something like this.
  6. Here you go KM, its a bit dry but still a good video.
  7. http://www.recordgone.com/other-expungement-services/fbi-nics-vaf-upin-faq.htm Per the above article yes. From actual experience I don't know. What I do know is if you don't take the time to follow up on a case dismissal or ordered expungement in person then you might have an unpleasant surprise.

  9. I thought the Grendel was cool when it first came out but not cool enough to want one. Ditto on the KT P11 but I know people who believe those are the finest concealed carry pistols ever.
  10. The current manufactured SCCY 9mmP is a good pistol for what its costs. The triggers pretty heavy though and you'll have to find the brand of ammunition it likes by trial and error. It's nice to see another firearms company moving to TN.
  11. Yeah, I've viewed a BLU/96 FAB video before and was impressed, perfect for clearing minefields and more. As I understood it the MOAB was supposed to be a bigger, better variation of the WW II Earthquake bomb and other seismic bombs /https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earthquake_bomb If it collapse tunnels effectively then that's going to diminish concealing troops and ordinance in known or discoverable tunnel complexes.
  12. Interesting weapon, I wonder how long it'll be before we know what the bomb damage assessment was after more intel becomes available to the public.
  13. If its only 2 to 3 acres I'd walk the fields and see how smooth they were as well as how much work it'd be to clear up any ruts. But if the ground was right I'd go with a big commercial Z-Turn. I'd be tempted to have someone work it over with a good garden tiller behind a tractor and reseed it if necessary too.
  14. You've already been provided good advice pertaining to a one hour to work daily commute which is actually two or more hours of driving per day. When you factor in bad weather driving and the narrower rural roads once off the interstate it becomes interesting at times. From personal experience if you find ten or less acres of rural property for sale its generally not the most ideal of farmland so I wouldn't count on finding a farmer who'll use it. Not saying they won't cut it for hay if times or bad but its just not enough land for them to bother with. I used to live on a fifteen acre property and was constantly dealing with trespassers, feral dogs and stray cattle. Deer would eat up every garden or fruit orchard you planted. It's also very unusual to find that amount of rural acreage where DSL is located so a cellular WISP will be a far better option to a satellite receiver. Do your homework on who provides the best cellular service/reception in the area that interests you. Now as to the Z-Turn vs. Tractor. It depends on what your doing with your property and how much you intend to cut. If your only cutting your yard and relatively even fields then a Z-Turn is faster and easier on you. If you plan to maintain any fields by bush hogging them then you should consider around a thirty horse power tractor as your lower end option and something closer to the forty HP range as preferred. Used tractors are more of a hit or miss deal then a lot of used cars so be careful
  15. While this doesn't meet the Deja vu test it reminds me of a multi party deal some yahoo tried to suck me into on another gun forum where IIRC I was buying a rifle barrel. The original lister wanted to buy another item from a different lister so he decided it would be cool for me to send my money to the other lister who'd then ship him his item and I'd get mine. He just couldn't understand why I declined his generous offer.
  16. I believe the uproar is over the fact the officer killed was wearing a stab resistant vest and his attacker stabbed him in venerable areas the SRV didn't cover. There seems to be a general belief that people can't figure how to cut or stab someone and that soft body armor is fully protective. I'd have preferred that the YouTube personality in question hadn't posted the video he did but what he said was already readily available knowledge. All the poster was doing was post something that he knew people would watch which would make him more money.
  17. Just so you know that's a Picatinny Rail base....(hint...hint...) for no more then one of them cost I'd pull out my drill and taps. Worst case you end up having to shim it or glue it to a thicker piece of metal for structural rigidity and strength.
  18. https://tnvc.com/shop/tripod-picatinny-rail-adapter/ This what your asking about???
  19. Lots of fungible income and good common sense don't always match up in the real world.
  20. I appreciate all of the recommendations. Does anyone have experience with this one? http://www.ruralking.com/hobart-welder-115-230v-mig-handler-210mpv-500553.html
  21. @Danger Rane I appreciate the advice and might pick your brain to get started, I've read about the Miller 215 and need to stay with a 110V system. I'll price it and the Hobart together and look at the difference. @BlessTheUSA I'm doing the hobby blacksmith thing and part of its building a lot of your own tools and storage racks. I've already got a list of things I want to do.
  22. It sound's like she's joined the National Guard to get her college tuition and some expenses paid. If so she's a smart girl and did her homework, you should be very proud of her.
  23. I've always loved labs, still do even after attacked by and bitten by a male lab which surprised the heck out of me. With that the only things I've noticed on lab pups is they'll chew up everything they can wrap their jaws around. You found an exceptionally attractive pup and made her a part of your family.
  24. Yeah, the rosebud torch and brazing are useful, there's actually an O/A torch set from Eastwood that's pricy but kind of neat http://www.eastwood.com/cobra-gas-welding-torch.html but I'm leaning towards simpler medium duty equipment. It looks nice but is way beyond what I'd ever consider spending for intermittent use equipment. But I enjoyed reading about it so thanks.
  25. Welding Equipment Recommendations: In order to keep things simple some hobby endeavors of mine are soon going to require some basic welding equipment. As it stands now I’ll probably go with a MIG welder first and then pick up an Oxy-Acetylene torch set a bit later. I’m leaning towards a Hobart 140 but am open to recommendations by the welders and fabricators here. As to the Oxy-Acetylene torch set which is the preferred option Miller-Smith or Victor? Thanks in advance for any help and Dolo I sure wish you and GT were both closer to where I live.
