  1. As easy as it is to remove the bolt on one of those - what a moron.
  2. and now...nothing.  Have not heard one in about a year or more. Although I did see more turkey, rabbits, and feral cats.
  3. I think I heard at least one safety unlatched ... not that it would have helped.
  4.       Several have stated same.   In posting the article, I made no commentary or postulation on the officer's legal status.    As noted above, I *do* think he had a serious aww-****! moment when he realized where he was.   I ALSO think that the incident was avoidable.... by the driver.  Under no circumstances is it smart to drive off with a cop in the back of your truck, nor is it smart to bail out on an detention/arrest in the first place.    It was ALSO easy to avoid having a restaurant employee call in and report one's ***.   One life was terminated, and several others ruined, because of self-centered decisions made by those being investigated.
  5. There was not much other at the time I posted.  LCPD has it's share of stories, but even I think this was a reflex, not Rambo. (and I am betting it was an aw-****! moment for the officer when he figured out where he was)
  6. Phoenix Arms HP22A, then a Norinco 12ga Lever Action. Next, I bought a slot-machine handle, but it worked fine..
  7. especially with a cop in the back....     http://wate.com/2016/03/13/deadly-officer-involved-shooting-in-lenoir-city/
  8. I have a friend (about 7' tall and 300 lbs) that intentionally ate a whole bag of those the day before taking a road trip with his buddy (not me).   Apparently there had been some "competition" between the two.  Big guy one that round.     (both of these guys could sumo wrestle.  I PROMISE you I would have caught the next rank & rancid Greyhound bus home to clear my palette)
  9. So has the statute of limitations run out on you stealing that guy's bag?
  10. Obviously, it's the TN State Rifle.  A Barrett.
  11. You can still run InnerdnetExploder on Win10.  And AdBlock Plus works on it.  Running this right now.   "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" is just not default by WIN10 in MicroSlop's preference to Edge
  12. So, I did a quick Google search for my next gun-oil idea... Thankfully no one has marketed ReallyYakSnot(®) yet.  Now to contact my sources in Tibet.   R_Bert
  13. this.  BTW, hands-on dissolution of a Ir-192 logging source is a brutal pathway to martyrdom.  It will do more damage to the maker than the targets.
  14. Sell the truck.  Start over.  You deserve it. And a new gun rack.
  15. Anonymous-backed alternate under development   http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/news/super-private-social-network-launched-to-take-on-facebook-with-support-of-anonymous-10325307.html   Well, I am sure there will be alternates.  Not sure Anonymous would be any better harbor...
  16. I don't shoot competition either, but for the OCD among us, micrometer adjustment, coupled with an Redding Instant Indicator turns a frustrating task into a joyous communion with perfection.   And I am just now installing a Forster Co-Ax as well, so looking to improve concentricity.    I love precision and repeatability.   It's about getting lost in your thoughts and the beauty of creation - at the bench - whether in the shop or on the range.  I may only make 5 rounds, but they are works of art, and a joy to shoot.   B.
  17. Yep.  They drilled another.   Really, I don't think FB will care one way or another whether we leave.  They are pushing a social agenda, and bluntly, we are the enemy, and we are what they think is wrong with the earth.
  18. Ironically, all the Oak Ridge forums are squealing because a yote grabbed a snack-dog today.
  19. I think every C&R in the country should start posting.  We *are* licensed to buy for our own collection.
  20. The media was reporting dealers OK (i.e. private sales banned) but come to think of it, I have not seen an actual policy statement from FaceCrap.   They killed at least two company pages today.
  21. And now, a Licensed FFL - Kentucky Gun Company     http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2016/02/daniel-zimmerman/facebook-removes-kentucky-gun-company-page-without-notice/
  22.       The appeal to FB is that it was (at some point) broad spectrum.  All parts of life.  I really liked a outfit that was capable of looking at, but not focusing.... on any one aspect.   I want to chatter with both gun-loving & non-gun loving friends alike....about guns, as well as the topics they cherish (where I may not be a fan).   So - while I hope there will indeed arise an alternate to FB, anything with a pointed title probably ain't it.  In the case of the above, it seems to be a conservative gun forum.
  23. Neal is correct.  I was on at least 4 groups, two disappeared in the last day or so, one phoenix, so am now back to 3.   I think the key is to join these things as soon as they re-appear, to keep the FB Nazi's busy.   Anyone with a group, feel free to PM me a group link here, and I will apply there.    B.   EDIT - oops.  now the brand new one is gone. in hours it seems.  I would guess on the former administrators, FB is literally monitoring keystrokes.
