  1. I just got this about two weeks ago and have been busy adding a few things to top it off. This is a SIG MCX Pistol w/ Sliding Brace in 300BLK. I installed the Troy Battle Sights, TRIGCON MRO, BCM Hand Guards and a Hand Stop. Haven't got to shoot it yet been a little busy, here are the specs. SIG MCX SNAKEBITE lmtd. edition of 300, it has a 9 3/4" Bbl. 1:5 Twist done in two tone FDE/BLACK a Sig Sliding Arm Brace. Let me know what you guys think about it. Here are a couple of pics. and I'll post a range report as soon as I have time to get it out and run some rounds down it.
  2. For some odd reason lately I've had a hankering for a S&W revolver chambered in the mighty .32 S&W Long. Scratched that itch today at the gun show with this pristine example. Think it was made around '68 or '69 and appears unfired outside of the factory. Even had the original manual and registration card in the box.

  4. The latest video I've seen (as of Aug 3, 2017) on the Hudson H9. Plenty of good overview in here from the company including some really close-up views of the gun. I've got to say that the included Trijicon HD sights, three mags, G10 grip panels, Hogue backstrap and black nitrided stainless steel construction make for a compelling reason to open up my wallet and pay the $1147 MSRP they're asking. I've paid more than that for lesser guns!
  5. Ok, here's the question, I am looking for a decent 9mm to buy for my Brother in-law. Last year for Christmas I paid to get him his CCW for his present, and he went to a pawn shop and bought a little Jennings .380 for a carry weapon SMH, now let me preface this by telling you he is CHEAP!!!!!! He got the Jennings because it only cost him $50 and imho he got ripped off. Out of a 8 round mag this thing will jam at least twice every time. I have tried and tried to get him to upgrade but he wont spend the money for anything better. He works in Hvac and is always going to peoples houses and such so my wife worries constantly that that POS paperweight he carries is going to fail him one day when he needs it. So she has begged, bartered, and threatened me into agreeing to buy him a decent 9mm for his birthday next month. Now I don't want to spend a lot of money on this weapon, mainly because I've seen the way he treats the one he has and it makes me cringe every time. It has to be small enough that he can conceal it easily while crawling under houses and such and I'd say my price limit would be around $300, and I would prefer all metal, again he is rough on his and I'm not sure Tupperware would hold up. O and he wont own anything that doesn't have a manual safety, His words when I was trying to talk him into a Glock or S&W. Any suggestions would be appreciated
  6. I've done the rounds of my usual crack, err...gun dealers looking for one of the new style MC Operators ( Factory G10 grips and the checkered front strap) yet they're nowhere to be found. Has anyone stumbled across one in their browsing lately?
  7. Buds Gun Shop has them. $226 to my door. Ordered on 08-062017 and arrived 08-09-2017. Have not had a chance to shoot it yet but feels nice and loads/ejects many different types of 22lr ammo I have on hand.
  8. Hey I was just curious if there was a market for used factory Glock barrels. I have a 4th gen Glock 19 and I was thinking about selling my current Barrel and getting a stainless one. Does anyone know what a good price would be? Also what do people typically do with factory barrels that would be interested in buying it? Thanks
  9. Has anyone seen this yet? I own several Sigs, but this one is truly awesom! https://www.sigsauer.com/store/1911-we-the-people-full-size.html i want one!
  10. So I've been looking for a 320 subcompact for a while now. I've seen a lot of listings for accessories for them and have talked with the guys at Mahoney's multiple times about this gun chambered in .45. So yesterday I called sigs customer service line to find a broker that could place an order for one and he said that they didn't make the subcompact in a .45. Am I taking crazy pills? Do they not offer it in the subcompact?
  11. It would seem, IMHO, that the FNH FNS series of pistols has to be the closest thing to a "perfect" pistol. The 9mm version is Glock 19 size with 17 capacity, the grip texture and angle are what they should be, they are fully ambidextrous... why is this not the most popular pistol on the planet? Or is it, and I just don't know it?
  12. Just saw a review of this compact 9 and I must say I like it. I've been looking for a pocket 9 for a while now, and I really like this one. Need to find one and see if it is pocket size. I love the way it offers several carry configurations with both a safety/decocker and a trigger, with da/sa options. Normally I like bigger guns but I want to replace my 380 pocket gun with a 9mm. Anyone try this gun yet?
  13. I picked up a 386 Hunter XL today, it's the scandium 6" 7-shot model. I got it for a pretty good price I think. I was trying to find another to compare price to but can't seem to find one. I didn't have time to shoot it before leaving work. So my questions are, who has one? How is it? I hate using this word, but how "rare" is this? Picture is attached for some gun porn.
  14. I am, and have been looking for, a CZ75B SA in a 9mm. Everybody, keep your eyes and ears open if you hear of a gun shop that has one for sale.
  15. " Ruger recently discovered that all Mark IV™ pistols (including 22/45™ models) manufactured prior to June 1, 2017 have the potential to discharge unintentionally if the safety is not utilized correctly. In particular, if the trigger is pulled while the safety lever is midway between the "safe" and "fire" positions (that is, the safety is not fully engaged or fully disengaged), then the pistol may not fire when the trigger is pulled. However, if the trigger is released and the safety lever is then moved from the mid position to the "fire" position, the pistol may fire at that time. 16. This thread is dedicated to photos of your Dan Wesson 1911's gents (and ladies). Post them up. I'll start with . . . . . The Twins - Dan Wesson Classic Bobtails - CBOB's - 10mm & .45 ACP (yea, I'm a lousy photographer)
  17. Rep. Mike Rogers' amendment was included in the House version of the NDAA which passed today. If the Senate passes it (and they probably will) then I think the Army has to release the surplus 1911s to the CMP. http://www.personaldefenseworld.com/2017/07/cmp-1911-pistols/
  18. Lately, I have increasingly more been thinking about either sending a Glock 19 slide off to be milled for a Trijicon RMR, or buying a slide or perhaps even full handgun already equipped with a red dot sight. I would like to hear from those of you who already have gone down this road. I do not have problems sighting with traditional irons. I do, however, love the way my red dots work on my carbines, SBRs and PDWs. I think that I would like a red dot on a handgun equally well. One option is perhaps purchasing another Sig P320C but this time getting the RX model with the Romeo1 sight already installed. What do you guys have? Post pics of your setup, if you want. I'm sure that seeing them would push me over the edge.
  19. If I have a domestic charge that is dismissed can I still buy a handgun
  20. Hey guys, I just picked up my G43 second hand. I field stripped it to give it a good cleaning. Upon reassembly, the slide would not fill return to its normal seated position, and he barrel and recoil spring were sticking out of the front slightly. The trigger was reset, so I was unable to get the slide off without a dry fire. I was able to dry fire it, but it definitely required more effort than a normal trigger pull. Once I did, the slide was able to be removed and the gun reassembled prooperly. I racked the slide several times and did multiple dry fires to check it. Everything seems to function and sound okay. Any chance I did any damage here to anything?
  21. This is a Brugger & Thomet APC 9, other than the crazy price tag do any of you guys or gals have any experience with one? I've been through Google and YouTube and seen no bad reviews. If you had to pick this or the MP5?
  22. Talked to a man this evening about a Sig P229 he has for sale. It is the older non-railed 229. It has 3 mags with it, and he has Crimson Trace laser grips on it. UNFORTUNATELY!!!!! it's in .40! Price wise he's offering me a pretty good deal on it (I guess), but I told him I'd research and try to find a conversion barrel for it (hopefully selling the CT grips to offset the cost), and we'd go from there. Couple of questions: 1) I don't want the CT grips, so how hard would it be for me to move them, and what should they go for? 2) Do you have any recommendations for a good conversion barrel? 3) Is it worth getting the gun and having to do this?
  23. When you're wrong, you're wrong... I bought my first M&P back when Smith and Wesson introduced them in 2005. It was my M&P 40 and I still have it. I was shopping for a Glock 23 when the S&W rep who was visiting Guns & Leather handed me one and asked if I had considered their new plastic-fantastic. I left with not only it but also an M&P 40 compact, and soon after added an M&P 9 compact, an M&P 9 full size, an M&P 9 Julie Goloski edition for my wife, an M&P 45 Mid-Size, and an M&P Shield 9mm. To say that I have had my share of M&Ps is maybe a slight understatement and I definitely wouldn't consider myself a Johnny Come Lately to the ownership circle given the timeline. For at least 6-8 years, my M&P 40 was my every day carry but it was eventually replaced with a Glock 19 for reasons that most of us have probably given at one point or another. "For the sake of change" is probably the most honest answer I can give anyone, but I had an assortment of other reasons waiting in the wings if I was pressed on it. Besides, the Glock 19 is arguably a very reliable and functional gun. But so is my M&P 40. Fast forward to late 2016 and the new M&P M2.0 was announced by Smith and Wesson. I admit it. I yawned. I scoffed. I publicly stated that I saw little about it that would motivate me to go back to an M&P 9mm after having had a relatively bad experience with the full-size M&P 9 that I had owned before. I was wrong. Last weekend I had the chance to shoot one. It felt better in the hand thanks to the aggressive stippling that S&W has applied to the frame and palm swells. The beaver tail was gone and suddenly it was even closer in length to my Glock 19 than the previous offerings and it felt better riding inside of my TT Gunleather inside the waistband holster without the frame protrusion digging into my chiseled, well-muscled midsection. The frame was less "flexy" at the front of the slide thanks to the change in design that extended the metal skeleton all the way forward. The front cocking serrations weren't all that big of a deal, but they weren't ridiculously ineffective either. They didn't sway me either way, but they did add a bit of flair to the expanse of boring metal forward of the ejection slot. But the trigger. Damn them, the trigger was better than I anticipated. It was smooth and clean right up to an abrupt wall, then it broke crisply and without grit. The reset was firm, tactile and audible, and the reset travel was maybe 3/16 of an inch from the terminus to reset, measured at the bottom tip of the trigger itself. The reset still isn't as forceful as a Glock 19 with OEM connector and trigger return spring, but it is right on par with the feel of a reset from a Sig P320. It honestly feels better than any Apex'd M&P that I have owned or fired. So what does a guy do when he's as wrong about a firearm as I was? Yep.

    1911 Help

Hey guys I have recently acquired a springfield gi 1911 frame with a .22 conversion kit through a trade. I have searched around the internet trying to find a complete kit to have a slide/barrel so I could also shoot 45. I'm not looking for a beauty queen or a race gun, I just want a simple 1911 that I can shoot. Does anyone have a source for a cheap slide kit to finish this gun off with? I wish I could locate a used barrel/slide to finish it with. If I have ti invest to much money to use 45acp I'll just stick with the .22 conversion only. Thanks for the help
  25. Anyone know if an ambi safety can be fitted to a base Micro Carry?
