Is it a sign something is wrong with you when...

Recommended Posts

...you spend more time figuring out which guns to pack for a trip than you do your clothes, etc?

I packed my suitcase of clothes in about 7 minutes yesterday, and it only took that long because I had to match up some socks from the laundry hamper.  I've spent about twenty minutes tonight deciding on which guns and ammo to bring, and how/where to pack them all.

Been there too often.  Then the problem I run into for my regular road trip (wife's family) is when I get there someone usually wants to go shooting so I haven't brought what I should have.  Tough problem to have.

I'm glad I'm not the only one!

Yes, those impromptu range trips'll catch you by surprise!  Now I have enough of each type that I'm just packing 9mm handguns, an AR, and AR pistol both in 5.56/.223.  Defensive stuff in the mags, and a few boxes of plinking stuff in case the new range is open in wifey's hometown.

My family always shoots during the Thanksgiving holiday, so this is a perennial problem for me... fortunately my mom and brothers live within driving distance, so I can always haul as much as I like. Just glad that I don't have to fly, because traveling with multiple firearms in that way would be a major pain.

Yeah I was well short of what I should have brought the previous road trip when there was an impromptu range visit.   Hate that.  Am just going to start bringing more than I think I need.  Rolling arsenal.

Haha!  I just added in my M&P 22 Compact and a brick of ammo in case I get to take the nephews shooting.  :-)

Don't you need a scatter gun in case someone has a new thrower under the tree?

Ah...brings back terrible memories of the 22 shortage when you mention taking along a full brick just in case you get the opportunity to shoot. Isn't life grand?

Ha! I have the same problem just when I go out in the yard! Mostly for coyotes.
