Rmr illumination problems

Recommended Posts

Recently bought a s&w pro core from a fellow member on the forum within a week had purchased a new trijicon rmr 06... adjustable led 3.25 moa... mounted and went to the range and shot 300 rds the next day... after returning home and cleaning the gun i noticed after a function check the dot faded and then bounced back... and now is nothing but intermentant problems while dry firing... emailed trijicon and their reply was removed sight and put in a brand specific sony battery... 1. how is this to make a difference and 2. I used the battery they sent with the sight... anyone have a similar problem and have this solve anything?

Just as an update i did install the battery and reattach... I didnt rush out and get a tiny torque wrench to get exactly 11 inch pounds but did use the small end of the allen key to tighten the screws about as tight as i could with the less leverage and havent had a problem since..  im keeping a close eye on it and if it starts acting up i will send it back and im sure they will fix it

Got it back a few days ago remounted and went out and put a few hundred rds through it.... functioned perfectly.... no verification seems like all new internals... even seems like more distinct clicks when zeroing... dunno just hope it stays working.... i spent a lot of cash on it bc i wanted it to work cant justify it over a vortex or something if its no more reliable than something at half the cost
