Dueling Tree - think I won.

Was Sunday gun day, so we decided to race on a dueling tree.  .50 bmg vs. AK @ 100 yards It was his tree, he conceded after my first shot because, well, it sort of flipped the tree over, torqued the arm and there wasn't going to be much left after the first round :bowrofl:

In other news, whatever material these little spinners are made out of is amazing.  Said it was .50 rated, I called BS.  The company was right, barely even left a mark on the darn thing.

You shot a 50 bmg at steel at 100 yards?  I think I know how your obituary will read.

Here's your sign or hold my beer watch this!

I don't think there's much to worry about shooting FMJ at 1/4-3/8" plate at 100yrds, I'd be more concerned shooting at 3/4"+ plate at 100-200yrds with FMJ, including API, I usually lean my plate back just in case...

Wasn't worried at all, a 5.56 slaps that arm around pretty hard.  Like Johnny said, it would not have happened with AR500, or anything that potentially could have caused a ricochet.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

All that went through my mind reading it was this video (i'm sure we've all seen it)

That guy was shooting at a block of metal 2+" thick, at best API will do 1", on the way home that dude needed to buy a couple Lotto tickets, he is the luckiest guy on earth...
