Recommend a 50-dollar butt stock

Recommended Posts

I need to get a stock for my AR-15 (Anderson Rifle, Mil-Spec Tube).

While I'd like some of the pricier one's w/ cheek riser and all the goodies, it's just not in the budget. Seems $50-and-under there are a bunch to pick from, but reading reviews on various sites proves futile - there's just as many bad/complaints as there are good ones. Would like it to be adjustable, as I'm not the only person who uses the rifle. looking at Midway's site they have Adaptive Tactical (no reviews...), AR-Stoner, and Magpul.

Thanks.

Personally I'm a MagPul addict. I have an SL-S coming in later this week, it seems it was in the $50 to $60 range. I'll try and post up what I think about it.

That being said, I've currently got a MFT (Mission First Tactical) Minimalist Stock. It isn't bad, I've liked it.

The main reason I replaced it is that I wanted a stock with some CR123 storage built-in.

It generally locks up pretty solid and seems comfortable enough. If you research it and decide that it may be something you are interested in, I'd probably sell it for $50 shipped. I plan on putting it up in the classifieds for exactly that probably Saturday if not sooner.

Mine essentially includes the following:

Although I'm unsure if the original owner bought the NRAT or simply made something similar themselves.

Bravo Company BCMGunfighter.
B5 Sopmod.
Magpul anything.

Those B5 Sopmod stocks seem nice. I didn't know about them honestly until after I ordered the SL-S. The SL-S is argued by Magpul I believe to be an evolution of the Sopmod. Let me see if I can find it.

I've got a bunch of different ones, my general go to is the B5. The MFT is nice where weight is of concern.

I I also like fixed, the cheap Magpul fixed carbine stock with extended butt pad is rock solid, no rattle and stays short. I have had 2 Magpul stocks fail during rough use, both MOE stocks, I'd skip those.
