Well why not? Everyone else seems to have. Come on...fess up...be honest.

I'll start.

Two times more than likely. Once many years ago I dated this very hot Ukranian girl...daughter of what probably was a mobster of some sort. He was nuts and his daughter was well...even more crazy.

Second time I talked to a street vendor....turned out to be Russian and asked him where I could get one of those cool Russian flags that you see all the time on the news. I'm surprised I wasn't contacted by the FBI or Homeland....just sayin'.

LMAO...good for you GT!!! I've met two Russians that I'm aware of, one was a naturalized US Citizen the other was most likely a resident alien having traveled to the US to marry a US Citizen. Both of them were decidedly foreign in far more ways then I could describe. I've met Germans, Poles, Japanese and other foreign nationals with whom I 've found more commonality.

I've got a good friend... he's kinda tall and skinny with a beautiful deep red glow. He's a lot older than I am but is still in fine shape. He's really fun to hang out with and the best part is when he shoots off at the mouth.

I've been surrounded by a lot of Russians...., even had these serious looking fellows in black trench coats shadowing me.

BUT...., I cannot recall ever meeting with the Russia Ambassador.

However I did go to Moscow to brief the U.S. Ambassador to Russia.

The Russian Ambassador meeting with sitting Senators (even Sessions at the time) is normal enough.  Democrats saying otherwise are idiots and hypocrites.  The Russian Ambassador being signed into the White House an average of 2.75 times a year (22 times / 8 years) is as normal as it gets for government relations between two large nations like the US and Russia.  The media outlets reporting that are out for click bait or just trying to stir things up.

The Russian Ambassador meeting with members of a campaign (excluding the State Dept. sponsored trip to the convention) that took a lot of very nonsensical positions vis a vis Russia is sketchy at the least and should be probed.  The lying and evasive behavior isn't giving the Trump White House much credibility on this issue.

Read up on the "Russian Fertilizer King", Dmitry Rybolovlev,  that one's starting to look like it has real legs.

And possible tie in with our new Secretary of Commerce, who just happens to be vice chairman of the Bank of Cyprus (big laundry for Russian bucks) along with a Putin appointed second vice chairman.

I missed that one while I was reading about how President Trump exempting the Keystone Pipeline from his "American steel only" requirement would let a Canadian company provide a huge chunk of the steel.  And by Canadian company, I mean one that's a subsidiary of a very large Russian steel/mining company.

Had a Russian motorcycle which was a blast. I did meet a Russian on a Danish cargo ship and it turned out he had one too.

Got this from a friend in Germany, apparently the ruskies liked to trade. I haven't tapped it yet but if I keep reading left wing crap I might!

Back in 1966, during the height of the cold war, we were going through the Straits of Gibraltar and the lookouts picked up a periscope off our starboard side. Shortly thereafter, a Russian surface ship pulled up close and escorted us into Naples.

Later that night we ran into part of their crew in the Cactus Bar (Don’t even ask, how I remember the name of the bar, that’s another story). We were on opposite sides of the room and having a good time, then someone suggested we buy them some drinks. Needless to say, they were surprised, and even more so when we motioned them over to our table. We pushed several table together until we had room for everyone (there must have been 10-12 of them and about the same number of us). I don’t know if they could understand us and I know we had no idea what they were saying but we were having a hell of a good time.

I can remember one of them pointing at our Dolphins and making a motion of going under water. When we confirmed it, he shook his head and made a negative motion with his hand, then a circular motion around his ear like we were crazy. He got a round of applause for that :D. Later on, they seemed to be embarrassed about not being able to buy rounds of drinks but we assured them, it was no problem and footed the bill ourselves.

All was going well until the Shore Patrol showed up. It seems that the fact that we were partying with the “enemy” got back to the boat and we were ordered to return to the boat immediately. The Shore Patrol got a little tiffed because before we left, we paid for another round of drinks for our new buddies.

I don’t know what they went through, but we were grilled about what was discussed at the bar. The only thing we were able tell them was the Russians didn’t have as much money as us, could drink like a fish, and liked the ladies with a little meat on their bones.

Did you testify under oath that you did NOT have contact? Because that is the issue.

Well let us get into a little bit of context here......

What the Former Saturday Night Live Comedian (FSNLC) who won an election with votes found in the truck of a car weeks after the polls closed asked to a highly skilled and experienced lawyer was this......

Senator FSNLC - "Now, again, I'm telling you this as it's coming out, so you know. But if it's true, it's obviously extremely serious and if there is any evidence that anyone affiliated with the Trump campaign communicated with the Russian government in the course of this campaign, what will you do?"

Sessions - "Senator FSNLC, I'm not aware of any of those activities. I have been called a surrogate at a time or two in that campaign and I didn't have, did not have communications with the Russians, and I'm unable to comment on it."

So taken in context Sessions statement was truthful because he met with the Russian ambassador in his capacity as a senator, not as a Trump campaign surrogate.  Senator FSNLC asked during the hearing about communications between Russia and the Trump campaign — not about meetings Sessions took as a senator and a member of the Armed Services Committee.

To help with some understanding on how these congressional hearing go (and I've had the misfortune to be a bag-dragger to a couple) lets puts this in a Firearms Related example using a RUSSIAN theme.....

Senator FSNLC -  "Now, again, I'm asking and it is obviously extremely serious, did you buy from Cope's Distributing RUSSIAN AK-74 plum Izhevsk-made magazines?"

DMark - "Senator FSNLC, I'm not aware that Cope's Distributing ever listed RUSSIAN AK-74 plum Izhevsk-made mags for sale, and I'm unable to comment on it."

And my statement to Senator would be truthful and correct because Copes listed these magazines as Bulgarian.  Bulgarians never made Plum polyamide (nylon) parts at all, they were all Soviet produced and later sold to Bulgaria. The Bulgarians painted them black and exported them to the USA.

But I will admit if I was asked "DMark did you buy those AK-74 mags that Cope's listed as Bulgarian for the purpose of stripping off the paint to see if they were sanitized RUSSIAN mags......

My answer would have to be, "Well HELL YEA!"

Shoot, I've met Russian diplomats or agents just about everywhere I've ever been.

Got a couple living next door to me right now, they're both working as teachers in local schools. Worked with one in a manufacturing plant for 11 years. He once confided in me that he was quite exhilarated by the fall of the old Soviet Union.

I had conversations with 2, at different times, during the 13 months I was in South Vietnam. One actually became somewhat of a friend, although we were never in contact after I came home. He was posing as a Swedish medical technician, and did actually have the skills and worked in a medical facility outside An Hoa combat base. The other I only met and talked to for an hour or so. Some RVN officers introduced me to him shortly I after I got lost in DaNang trying to find my way to language school. I seem to recall his cover was agricultural assistance but from Austria, not Soviet Union of course. We, and the ARVN lieutenants, had some beers at a street side bar before one of the ARVNs gave me a ride to the language school compound on his Honda 50!

Dems just don't really know what goes on in the world.
