But is he wrong?

Yes he is. Reagan got LOT's of cooperation. Obama didn't. If Obama would have been as successful as Reagan, he would have done a lot more damage.

Republicans and Democrats have some of the same qualities, but they are NOT the same.

But that doesn't change the fact that we lost more gun rights under republican Jesus than we did ole B Rock

Speaking of what presidents did or didn't do with regards to 2Arights, can someone remind me who opened up carrying of firearms in national parks and forests?

Same guy who also gave terrorists weapons?  Or maybe the same one that gave drug dealers in Mexico Weapons? Or, maybe the same guy who allowed four of our people to die covering up weapons deal...wait a minute, was that the same guy?

That was totally the same guy. But I'm not talking about all the bad stuff that we all know he did. I'm just here slaughtering sacred cows.

And that rule was blocked by a federal judge,  you know, judges and executive orders and all of that mess. So the law itself was changed  and signed by Obama. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/03/19/AR2009031902801.html

For a bonus round, guess which president created the rule change that banned carry a personal weapons in national parks?  I'll give you a hint, we've already talked about it in this thread.

I love steak. It's so tasty.  Especially when it's made from sacred cows.

Here is what I have learned:

If a Republican president passes gun control, Republican response="well it could have been worse, thank god X wasn't elected..."

If a Democrat president even suggests gun control, Republicans response = "marshall" law and FEMA camps will be next.."

(see if you can guess which word I intentionally misspelled)

I will say that Mike has a good point so the meme isn't 100%  fair.  If Obama had his way I have no doubt would would have seen much more damage done. That being said, the hypocrisy from conservatives on this issue is yet another reason why I'm continuously annoyed with both parties.

When Reagan did it, there was much less water over the dam. This is all carved in stone now. The Democrats want semi-auto rifles and handguns gone, magazines over 10 rounds gone, a background check any time  gun changes hands, and a gun registry.

You won't see the Republican PARTY make any of that a published set of goals.

Reagan is not some kind of god to me. He had some good stuff, but was still an ex-Democrat from California. I will still take him over any of the Democrats, or Gary Johnson.

As Gov of Kali, didn't he start the ball rolling on current Draconian laws, with original agenda to disarm the Black Panthers?

Yes, that is my understanding of how history unfolded as well.
