Sprintz furniture opinions

Recommended Posts

Went there once looking at their leather sofas/chairs and wasn't too impressed.  Price were as-expected, but almost all of them were that cheap Chinese 1/32" leather coating on fabric that looked & felt like it would wear off in a year or two.  Couldn't say anything about the rest of their stock as that was mildly disappointing and I went with another place & fabric chair/couch.  It could be that just about everything is made that cheap now, am unsure.

I wasn't impressed the two times we went. The stuff seemed just a small step better quality than the Ashley furniture junk for 4x the price.  Found a sleeper sofa that would have been ok, and I started to negotiate the price and the saleslady said they don't negotiate.  Well, that $1,200 overpriced $2,200 sofa stayed right there and we left. A week later she calls and asks if I'm still interested in the sofa and offers to deal. That royally pissed me off and I told her so.

Anyways, we went to our local Mom & Pop in Smyrna and got a custom, USA made dual powered recliner sofa (decided against the sleeper) for $1,100 delivered.  Best purchase we ever made.

Sprintz was the only place worse than a gun store where I felt like the next meal for the salesman depended on the commission from my purchase based on their actions.

Unlike the confines of gun store, it let me play a small game of can I shake the surveillance, and I got a small chuckle from seeing the salesman look around for me like I was a kid that wandered off a few times.

While I wasn't there for a sale, I didn't find anything I liked...but furniture is the item I'm quite possibility the most nit picking over as a consumer.

We ordered a sofa from Sprintz, and were told 4-6 week lead time. When we called to check the status a few weeks later, we were told it was 12+ weeks. We cancelled the order, and went to Haverty's. We had great service there. They even came out and repaired a spot on our sofa 6 months after it was delivered that was caused by our dog's flea medicine (the liquid you put on their back is bad for leather finish, FYI).

I would check out Haverty's if that is an option.

We went to Haverty's yesterday, and I'd rate it near the top of the stores we visited. Unfortunately, Mrs. Tenn found a small store in Gallatin that sells high end stuff, and I expect we'll be ordering from there. This is going to turn out to be like buying a car I'm afraid.

I'll also give Haverty's a:cheers: and a 2 thumbs up. We have bought several chairs and curio cabinets from them in the last few years. Prices and quality are very good, especially if you take your time and check their physical and online inventorys.

Check out Bliss Home in the Melrose area. They're a Tennessee company which started in Knoxville and opened a location in Nashville a few years ago. http://shopinbliss.com/contact/#bliss-home-nashville

We found a great sofa there which was actually made in east Tennessee, but right now I can't remember the brand.
