Dark Theme

Recommended Posts

I have a question, I've been seeing a few posts with dark text that almost disappears on the dark background.  @MP5_Rizzo, can you enlighten me on what font color, browser you used to see if it's me or the forum? On my end, I'm viewing this on my tablet with chrome, but it does this on explorer on my work pc as well.

If you are using the Night Owl theme now switch to the default theme to see this.

I'm using Firefox but after I enter text I will highlight the text and then hit the drop down that has a paint brush icon and select black. and it will look like this.

If I use the default color it will look like this.  There may be a way to change the default setting when typing text but I have not stumbled across it yet. I guess for those that use the dark theme by me darkening my text they can't read it unless the switch to the default theme.  I hope this helps.

I wonder if you need to do a force recache of everything on screen at least once when switching to the Dark Theme.  Like, hold down SHIFT and then refresh the browser page.  Maybe it's caching the editor code from the light theme.

*shrug*

I will try to replicate the problem and report it to the theme's author.

OHHHH... so you're coloring the text of your posts?  Why??

I don't like the default gray text but if it helps those that like the Night Owl theme I will start using it.

Wait, if you're using Firefox on a pc, I think you have add-ons that will present the text to you in any color you wish.   This is why I used it on my pc, that and the pop-up blockers.
