IF you don't mind and you get a chance could you please show us some up-close pictures of the underside of the slide and the guts of the frame ? Supposedly the frame's locking block is made different to be as strong as the 3 pin models.

I doubt that anyone who buys one will be disappointed. My girlfriend really needs the smaller grip and I am on the fence for that reason only. Will probably rent/borrow one and put a few hundred down range and then jump. There are many things to like about it.

I dont know that I can do any better than the article that Recoil posted.

But let me know if there is something in particular that they dont show that maybe I can and I would be happy to.

My girlfriend and I shot the 19 today. They made some very nice changes to the gun. My only disappointment is that the grip felt larger. We both independently came to that conclusion. Nice handgun, but I think Glock missed an opportunity at reaching the smaller hand group like Sig did with the P320. I would have thought that smaller grip sizing might have come out of the military bidding. Other than that, it is nice upgrade but not enough to drive me to an upgrade in the initial pass from a gen 4. I do like the new barrel and trigger mechanism. Could do without the dual slide release but it was not a distraction.

The studying I've done on it today indicates the grip is actually larger and the pistol is wider.

Two negatives.

I was hoping the grip was more like a gen2. Bummer if it's larger

Wingshooter, I agree. I was wanting it to be just slightly smaller. I was ready to buy after getting a chance to look at it up close. I wasn't even that put off by the fact that the trigger mechanism is mostly, non-compatible parts.

Garufa, after considering last night, I think it might be related to the dual slide release and changes in the locking block making it slightly wider. Not sure, just a guess.

I fondled a Gen 5 G19 today, and I didn't care for the trigger as much as my Gen 3 G19. It felt good though.

I'm sure the Glock enjoyed it too. Better not let your G3 find out. You know how they can get about it.

Steelharp, is that at your shop?  Put some calipers around the "grip zone" where the hand goes and measure the width.

We don't have them yet. I understand we're getting one 17 and one 19 sometime this week. I work tonight, then again Friday night. I can't imagine them still being there by the time I go in Friday.
