Monster line, clogged aisles, insane prices, next to no good deals.

Bout what you'd expect. Still beats watchin TV or doing chores- mostly.

Personally, I'll be doing chores until the insanity comes down a notch or 2.

Will any of you have anything nice to sell at the show? I got me an itch to scratch since my wife took one away from me. I will be there Sun. morning not as crowded then and sometimes they deal a little better to keep from taking stuff back. C U There Randoooooooooooooooo:D

All I know is there is another  gun show. Same deal, same place, same time. Chilhowee Park Sat & Sun.

Still trying to decide whether to go or make my first pilgramage to CMP in Alabamy this week.

Bama wins by a mile over another horrible Knoxville gun show where there are the same dealers as the last eighty years pushing the same tired guns nobody bought last time.

I doubt they even have the time to. They're still working on a 5-7 week backlog on orders.

(re: Georgia Arms)

They are at some gunshow just about every weekend. Usually at more than one. I think they always keep a priority stock of the most in demand ammo just for their traveling folks. This coming weekend, at FOUR shows, in:

TALLAHASSEE (FAIRGROUNDS) FL

LAWRENCEVILLE (FAIRGROUNDS) GA

HAMPTON (CIVIC CENTER) VA

DALTON (TRADE CENTER) GA

Please don't take my comment the wrong way (if you are). :D The point I was trying to make, to myself, was there sure do seem to be a lot of fun shows latey. Like at least once a month, sometimes more than that. Seems like there used to only be a couple a year? At least that was the case when I was a kid.

Do the frequency of these things correlate to the pre/post election jitters or did I stay out of the game for too long?

Regardless, I'll be there Saturday. Are you guys gonna be there?

There's been a monthly gunshow in Knoxville for quite a while now. At least since summer of '07 when I moved back here.

I am debating whether or not to go. Don't have any money to speak of to blow there. But it is fun to go and be with like minded people and look at what on display.

In spite of what some people say there are deals to be had. you just have to have an idea about what you want and what you are willing to pay.

I could think of worse ways to spend a few hours.

I don't think I was taking it the wrong way, I am agreeing with you that there are far too many gunshows in town and there is really no reason to go anymore unless you really want to pay $600 for a Glock 19 that's been rattling around in a dealer's 'gunshow' box for the past couple of months.

But it was used to fight the nazi's! I go for the ammo and to MAYBE come across a good deal on a firearm. Its better than walking around the mall with Kat.

I'll probably go, just so I can whine and complain. Maybe I'll find a reloading component or two for a reasonable price. Anybody ever buy anything from the guy that always has the tables of reloading components and powder at the show? Just curious how his prices are?

I'll be there Saturday morning wearing a blue Tennessee sweatshirt if anybody wants to call me a fool or shake my hand!

Hey, John...love that avatar from President's Analyst...

Hey, looks like I'll be there meeting Mike.357 and maybe Suntzu about 1.

I'll wear my FedEx Ground (emeritus) jacket, so if any of y'all see me, introduce yer own selfs.
