Moving Safe

Yep stairs makes it a no no for me. I have moved a lot of safes but not up or down more than a doorway threshold.

Sorry, gotta go with the guys that say hire it done.

Another thought is to sell it to the new occupant and just buy a new one. :)

My son-in-law moved a similar size Cannon brand safe . He used a strap and dolly. Did not need to negotiate but 2 steps upward and unloaded if off a low trailer.  If I had to move it, I would find someone else to do it, or pay the price. Over 400. bucks seems a bit  excessive to me.

In the long distant past...I moved my first safe, a 24x32x60, myself with a standard refrigerator dolly. Up 2 steps, across a threshold and down a narrow hallway.

When we moved, I paid someone else to do it and never looked back.

Over the years, I've bought a few, and the worst was a huge Stack-On model that Dick's young employees laid on my flat trailer. I brought it home and tarped it over until I got 4 strong guys from our workplace to come and take it off the trailer and put it where I wanted it.

Cost me about 50 bucks for beer. I never complained.

I am betting that the safe house price includes installs including bolting it down

Maybe...but not certain on it. I've bought things from them twice. Satisfied with what I got and the service, but that service can be pricey.

Delivery charge for a 20 mile round trip, and set up where I wanted was right at 300. That did not include the "install."

If I had that big a safe you can bet I would be paying someone to move it period!!! I would shop around at every possible company that moves them and might not pick the cheapest cause if I have not used them before or know someone that has I will be going with one that has references.............JMHO
