Butler Creek MULTIFLEX vs. STANDARD Scope caps... or something else

The incredible lens protection of our standard Flip-Open covers, but with additional flex in the collars to fit a wider range of scopes and the added convenience of purchasing front and rear covers together. Carry over your shoulder or use as a hasty sling.

Same basic features and design as standard Flip-Open series

Tight, flexible collar provides custom fit for multiple scopes

Waterproof, airtight protection

Covers open silently with the flick of a thumb

So, it sounds as though the Multiflex is soft pliable rubber? Other than being able to accommodate a wider range of sizes, this doesn’t sound like an advantage. Sounds harder to rotate and position. I don’t swap caps on scopes so I’m thinking the standard would be a better choice. Anyone used both of these? Or maybe something else that flips up?

I would like to have the Leupold Alumina caps, but can’t justify $100. :)

I've used them and still have a set on one rifle.  They aren't so tight that you can't rotate them, but they are snug. Only downside is if you are a little on the wider side of the flex range on the objective cap, the cap may pop open if bumped.
