Refinished a 336 in 35Rem

2dKK5lU.jpgPicked this rifle up on the cheap the other day.  While cleaning it up I got froggy and decided to refinish it.  First refinish job.  Didn't come out exactly like I wanted, but I'm happy with it.  Looking forward to shooting it, just have to scrounge up some ammo.LwubOHw.jpg6XfHNp9.jpg

Why that looks like a 3rd grader took a leaf rake and.....You know I'm kidding. 

That, to me, looks really good! It looks like you did not try to sand out the scars in the stock, and that is what makes it more appealing to me. If I refinish one of my own that I've had for a long time, I always try my best to make sure the scars are visible. I figure the gun has earned them and that means a lot to me. Sentimental ole peckerhead that I am. :up:
