Any one squirrel hunt any more.

Recommended Posts

I have quite hunting every thing but squirrels. We have a blast every winter hunting them. I have a little mountain fiest and he loves to tree squirrels most fun hunting I have ever done. Really don’t ever run into many other squirrel hunters in the mountains up here.

Know what you mean. I love squirrel hunting, with or without dogs. Used to have a good dog yrs ago. My problem is having a good place to hunt anymore. All my old hot spots have been sold off into tracts, built on, posted, etc.

Too bad we live so far apart, we could have some fun. Elizabethton is , of course, Jason Wittens

home town. I'm a big fan of his & the Cowboys.

Good luck next season............

If you get up this way in the winter hit me up. I hunt a good bit. Don’t watch to much pro ball any more but was always a cowboys fan.

We have loads of Cherokee national forest up here problem is it is all straight up. That little dog will wear you out chasing him through the mountains.

Got that right! Wouldn't take much of that to shut me down. A dog will run you ragged,

but it's fun.

Never been that far up in East Tn.,  We did pay Hampton one yr. in the HS football playoffs. I was sick & didn't get to make the trip. Love the Smokies & Cades Cove, my fav place on earth.

Back in my younger days if they had a hunting season on something, I hunted it. Began with Squirrel and Dove and then it was Quail, rabbit, duck, deer, and when all the seasons ended it was back to squirrels cause it was the last season to close each year. Now 50 years later I spend about 150.00 on wild critter food and have about 8 tree rat feeders up and I have counted as many as 15 on the feeders or on the ground under them eating left overs and they look like Tree Hogs they are so fat. They are so fat Darby can out run them and she has to turn around when she runs past one of them but by then they have found another tree to get up. It's funny to watch them scatter  when she clears the storm door and she has no idea which one to chase. I don't hunt anything any more but I sure did enjoy doing it for about 45+ years..................
