I don't think the good guy will go through much crap if he had a permit to carry.  After all he was defending himself and preventing the guy from going back in and shooting more innocent people..........JMHO

Agreed. I doubt they will face any issues.

I say "they" because it's being reported there were actually 2 armed civilians that helped the bad guy take the room temperature challenge.

I don't think he will face criminal issues, but I would not be surprised if someone sues them over it. Maybe a family member, maybe a witness, maybe a victim. People look for any way to manipulate it into a cash payout.
