It was. Still came through the pants fabric several inches.

Are you left handed?   Or do you carry in the middle of the pocket?  I carry tip up with the knife as far back as it will go.   It can't open.

Tip up!  I carry tip up and never have to worry about my knives coming open in my pocket.

So am I. But as I get older and the packaging they use these days gets harder to open; I need a knife. :wall:

I bought a SOG Spec Elite II 4”. I never had it open in my pocket, but saw the possibility of that happening. It’s assigned to desk duty. My EDC knife is a Protech Magic Whiskers. I think it would be almost impossible to open accidently.

I carry tip up, and I used to carry my TGO Protech Magic. I say used to because one day I reached into my pocked and almost turned two of my fingers into four. It wasn’t the first time that knife had opened up in my pocket but it was the last time I carried it.

No, right handled. I was carrying it in my right back pocket. It doesn't matter now. I don't normally carry a knife, and the SOG is a good workshop knife.

Mine opened in my right front pocket, too.

I always carry my protech with the safety on. That knife is way to sharp to be that close to my other tool...
