Tandem hang gliding fail

It was obviously the instructor’s fault to be in the situation in the first place, but I feel as if his actions during the flight did indeed save the man’s life.

The mere fact the guy’s weight kept pulling the glider left was worrisome enough.

Usually the harness seems to keep the weight centered on the thing.

There's so much going wrong there...  no final harness check by anyone. The instant the pilot discovered the problem he should've put that thing on the ground immediately. Turn around and descend, drop it in one of those yards, anything but continue down the hill.

I'd call a broken wrist and torn bicep pretty serious injuries, he can't use either arm for 6-8 weeks and they'll take months to fully heal.

I was surprised he hung a left over the trees when some significant green space was to the right.  But, maybe, he couldn't go right due to the extra weight on the left.
