I have a spare stripped upper to go with my TGO billet lower and have always intended to build an upper to match my 18” upper. For a couple of years now, I’ve gone back and forth as to whether I should do a 14.5” barrel with a pinned flash hider to avoid the cost and hassle, or go the SBR route and go with something like a 10.5” barrel.

Admittedly, it’s been a while since I’ve researched the process. Is it still a painful and time consuming process?

SBR or any class III is too restrictive in my opinion regarding travel, possession by others, etc...

i may be mistaken, but simply crossing state lines (as i understand it) is not ok w/out some steps (from a purely legal standpoint) and i cannot loan it to anyone under any circumstance for use unless I remain present.

not wort the restrictions.

Braces are good these days (SBA3 mounted to a mil spec buffer tube) does the job along w/ the shockwave or the any other number of braces.

just my perspective, FWIW

Until they are deemed illegal.   And then they wouldn't be worth the hassle.

SBR/SBS this is true. For suppressors it is not as long as it's a suppressor friendly state.

50/50 true/ false. If you have a trust or Corp, people in the trust or Corp can use it. A class 3 dealer may also repair and test one.

not worth the restrictions.
