What are some good movies that get guns right?

So I am looking for to make a list of movies to watch that represent guns realistically. Movies like Collateral (oh God, that quick draw scene...), HEAT (how insanely loud guns are) and the John Wick series tend to come to mind, but I can't seem to think of any beyond that.

Does anyone have any recommendations for movies that get guns right?

Movies directed by John Milius.

What movies exactly? I cant see anything even remotely accurate in representing firearms.

Michael Mann, the Director/Producer of Heat and Collateral has a proven record of doing it right.

Absolutely agree. But unfortunately I don't think he's made anything else close to those two movies.

After going through a wall.

That was good but Django should get honorable mention.

I hate it when I’m watching something and you hear them “cock” their glock.

Exactly ! I was  watching Star Wars Rogue One and a bunch of Stormtroopers cocked their blasters. I about lost it !

Well, except for Kevin Costner's seven-shot revolver, and Robert Duvall's shotgun that will blast people through the air....

I think it was more like 9. Like any movie, it's not 100% accurate. Overall, the ending seemed to be a pretty well done extended gun fight to me.

For the record, I have as much experience in gun fights as probably most of the people on this site: none.

Saving Private Ryan was the last movie I didn’t get bent out of shape over guns.

Bullets penetrating in the water more than possible if I remember right.

Can't remember what movie but it was a Sick/horror flick. Some guys were tormenting a girl who jumped in the river to escape and was swimming further and furthur away.

Sick evil dude had a handgun and it took many shots before he got her. Average shooter, moving target long range.... Not easy to make contact.

How'd you feel about "Enemy at the Gates"?

I don't really remember details of The Thin Red Line, but this and Saving Private Ryan made me think of it.

I'm positive many of you have better memory than I do, anyone remember details of The Thin Red Line?

I remember not really liking that movie.  Hate to say it because WWII movies are kinda my favorite.

Never seen anything with a Johnson 1941, that I can think of.

Captain America: The First Avenger is probably the only one on the list that played in US theaters.
