Show at Lebanon Guard Armory

I went to the Great American show in Dyersburg last year. Spent all day Saturday there with a friend who had tables. Decent crowd but It wasn't very impressive. I didn't sell anything and didn't bother to go back on Sunday. OTOH they are trying to restart gun shows in towns that haven't had any in 4-5 years. Maybe they'll get things rolling.

According to their website there's a show this weekend and another in May at the armory. IIRC they have promoted several in east tn in the past and the show turnout was all based on the venue used and how much advertising they done leading up to it. While you'd think being a promoter they would place advertising about a show at the top of the list that's not always the case. I would definitely get on their website @hipower and print their $1 off coupon :)

Thanks, I saw all that on the site, and agree with you. But seems that most promoters these days are relying on word of mouth from people like us for publicity.

Does anyone else have a comment on past shows there? About 30 miles from me. While not that far, I hate to waste the time and the cost for another "Goodman style" show. It's entirely possible that we might have to travel much further to get a good show any more.

I hope not.

I do appreciate your comments, sir. Thank you.

Wow! You can stop gun buying for a month and buy a car?!?

I'm very happy for you...and hate you very much. lol

No.....but it makes the wife a bit easier to live with. I seriously doubt I'll buy a car, but have been to a few auctions where you just couldn't pass one up. I doubt this will be one, but a fellow has to be prepared for that slim possibility.

Funny thing is that I do own some guns that are worth more than the truck I drive. It ain't that I have real expensive guns.

Years ago, I learned that driving a classic car was actually a very economical mode of transportation. You can buy one, drive it til you get tired of it, and sell it for a profit. I'm still working on convincing my wife of this.

Well, plans were changed for me. lol typical.

I didn't get to the NG Armory show, maybe next time. Or not.

Sparta show does get a lot of commentary. I'm going to try it sometime. Go to Cookeville and spend the night and go to Sparta early. That's my hopeful plan anyway.

Until then, just have to be satisfied with talking around here.
