I think this started in December 2018, so 4 months ago? I've had mine since February 2016 without a hiccup besides a few junk new reman's. I always carry condition 0 and never had an out of battery situation. Not sure that's possible if you don't ride the slide closed. Suppose I'll do the recall. Apparently I never filled out the warranty paperwork. I didn't receive a recall notice myself.

With DPS still carrying guns they know have issues; it sounds like DPS and FN both could potentially have a big problem if something happens. lawyers will eat this up.

However, neither of the shootings of Officers they talk about in the story appear to have anything to do with a weapon problem. In one keys on the side of a bag got caught in the trigger guard and pulled the trigger. Why in the world would anyone choose a holster for a striker fired weapon that doesn’t cover the trigger area? That’s crazy. And the other story is someone taking apart a loaded gun; that’s crazy also.

As we have seen, any gun can have problems, its how the manufacturer responds that matters.
