Does anyone here have a 3" GP100? I was curious if they shoot dead on with 38's , I have one with the 4" and adjustable sights and it shoots really good.I didn't know how much difference there would be with one with fixed sights.I saw one I was thinking about getting.

Well, you'll just have to burn some ammo to find out. You never really know till you shoot.

Yeah, just don't want to spend $500 or so on one and it shoot to the left or right.

I have a 3 inch with fixed sights and I like it quite well. It hits what I aim at from self defense type distance but I've never taken many shots from longer range. It's not a target gun but for home defense or a truck gun it's great. I did paint the front sight with orange fingernail polish so these old eyes could see it better.

Best of my knowledge, with fixed sights, the reason an SP or GP would shoot left or right is the barrel is over screwed into the frame.

If it happened, and you look, it should be obvious.

IMO going from (.357 to .38) point of impact shift would be more of an elevation change issue based on velocity and bullet weight.

I got a Taurus 357  605 that shoots both really good, also have a smith snubnose that shoots about 2-3" to the left. I have sent it back to them to get that fixed. I shoot mostly 38's out of all my 357's
