How do these get classified under the law?

Found this

In the State of Tennessee, it is against the law to carry a baton for self defense (TCA 39-17-1307).  However if the person carrying the baton is either a licensed security guard or armed civilian with a valid certification card then they have an affirmative defense to the charge (similar to carry permit for handgun).

So I will be looking for a class to take.

Now that the auction is completed I'll chime in...I didn't want to distract. ;)

The Monadnock is an excellent baton. I've had one of those, A huge-arse Winchester, and still own a pair of ASP batons. As a younger man I put a lot of hours and sweat equity into them. Great tools!

And @RED333 is 100% correct. There are several threads on here about the legalities and training.  So, Yes @hipower... You do need one!

Randy aka @Cruel Hand Luke could more than likely point you in the right direction for training and certification.

Congrats Red! Great tool and good price!

Here is a Damascus Steel Scottish Dirk with leather sheath. No scratching, marks or rust. It's basically new. It comes with a sharp edge, so use cation when handling. One could put a razor edge of this blade with patience. Wooden handle and Damascus steel pommel base.  Blade is 12" in length. The handle is 5" in length for a total of 17".
I'm asking well below MSRP at $70.  Currently they are selling on Ebay for $130.
If interested just message me and let me know. I can meet locally for transfer...or in this case I can ship with added shipment price.

      Thank you for your interest,
