Hurricane/Tropical storm Barry

Recommended Posts

All the weather forcaster I have heard talking about it does sound like middle to west Tennessee is going to get rain from Barry. Most of them are talking 3 to 5 inches in the areas they mentioned and they said some flash flooding may be a chance in some areas. Louisiana may be in some serious trouble with the Mississippi River already at flood stage and the storm ahs not even hit yet. Gonna be a good test on those new levies they built after Katrina.

Been raining here all day. Mostly just a light drizzle. The heavy stuff is expected Tuesday. Flash flood warnings until Tuesday night. 80-90% chance of rain for the next three days. Looks like the worst of it went farther west than they thought.

I guess I won't be going outside to play for a while.  :waiting:

Gas jumped $.10/gal between 8:30a and 3:30p today in Lenoir City at the Wiegles on 95, just off exit 81.

That ain't nothin, gas jumped $.20/gal in 3 hours at Speedway in Cookeville  7-2-19.

As for the levee's they shouldn't be needed because anyone with half a brain wouldn't have built a city on cotton bales in the middle of the danged swamp, several feet below sea level. DUH!!! Marquis De LaFayette didn't listen to his engineer.
